My first short term goal is to hit -100lb by my one year surgery date i am two pounds off. I hopefully will be there by the end of this month. My second short term goal is to be out of the 300 bracket. I am at 329 right now so need to lose 30lb to do that then that will be a huge goal for me then i want to hit 250 i will be happy if thats all i ever lose but will strive for more. well not sure where to set my goal so setting a realitic one first. My starting weight was 427 and i am currently at 329. I am setting my first goal at 250 and i will adjust it if i make it there. I actually could stand to lose 250lb not sure if the average lapbander loses that much or not. Glad i am not alone. Best wishes everyone with your weightloss

i totally agree. I am just starting my journey i am almost 4 weeks post opt i had surgery in mexico 2-26-07. I am doing pretty well so far i have lost -28lb but my weightloss has slowed this week as i am eating more normal. My bmi was 56 and its down a little now. I had a bad experience with southwest on the way home from being banded. I wanted to board early because i had surgery for the band a day earlier. I flew to texas via southwest no problem. They stopped me on the way home and made me buy a extra seat even though i told them i could put the arm rests down and i flew a few days earlier on southwest no problem i do believe i will be flying delta or another airline from now on out fat or skinny.
