Hello, I have found that if you look up Dr in your area on line and cross check to see who take's your insurance. You could also ask BCBS if they have a list of Dr's. As for the Dr that was mean to you and may I say there are a few out there. I would look up his name on Google and then rate him as a Dr. This is how I found my Dr. and I am so happy to have the Dr I have. Wish I could help more but I am in NY. Hang in there. Mary

I found coffee helped. My Dr said it was ok to drink it. Funny I love coffee would drink 2-3 cups a day. I am lucky if I can get 1/4 a cup down but it will help you poop trust me it helped. Oh do not panic if your poop come's out like chicken broth as mine did. I was told it was do to all the Water and broth and that was why it looked like that. I do have to say that just going poop for the first time after my op 5 days out felt so good. Funny how little thing we take for granted mean so much...lol. Stay well stay safe. Mary

Wow my heart goes out to you. To me it sounds like your husband has the problem not you. It might be fear that when you loose weight that YOU will not need HIM! Tell us is he over weight at all? If you can You need a support group see if your Dr has one that you might be able to go to. Please keep in remember that you are doing this for you. You have taken a big step in life in getting well and fit. Keep working on yourself as YOU ARE WORTH IT. Take care of YOU! I will be thinking of you. Stay well stay safe god bless you. Mary -
Hello Shelli, I took 16 day's off. I think that was a good amount of time to take off as I work 40 hours a week. I am on my feet 7 1/2 hours a day at work as I work in sale's. I think you need to know your body and the kind of work you do will depend on how much time you will need off. All the best. Mary

That is so not a stupid question. when you fill out all the information for the tracker you will need to copy and paste on to your lap band profile. I found that if I kept both screens up I could then past the information to my profile. Each time I had to update it I had to go back to the tracker site and re post it . I will see if I can find the name of the parson who helped me and I will send you her name. Good Luck, Mary

I have Dr. Geiss. All I can say is he is a very good Dr. His staff are so help full as well. If you use Dr. Geiss he has so many free classes you can go to to help you with the Lap Band from start to finish. I had my op on July 25th of this year, I can only say good things about the Dr, I will say he has done over 5,0000 ops what more could one want and very nice bed side manner. My own GP said he was the best and said his staff are very good as well. Hope this helps. All the best. Mary -

How are you? Did everything go well at the Dr. today? I was seen by the PA. I had no I dear that they had to remove my stitches today. I was told I was loosing two pounds a week so that is right on target. I was told JUST DO MUSHY'S for two more weeks. I'm ok with that. I did tell them that I jumped to soft food early. Aetna Approval but on a out patient basis - nervous

Hi, I have Aetna as well. I know in some cases as long as you are in the hospital no more then 23 hours it is not a over night stay. This is what I was told. Aetna wanted me to stay over night just in case. ...lol no win on this one. I was thinking I could go home after the op. I was so wrong as I was so out of it. I stayed 22 /23 hours and I was still out of it. Don't worry it will all work out. As for pain dont worry as it will pass so best of luck to you. Stay well. Mary -

Hello NY, I too have Aetna and I have to say that the nurse I have is so very good. The Aetna nurse makes sure you have good support help's before and after your Op. They make sure You!! know what your rights are in the hospital and your after care. At first I was I do not need a nurse but believe me they are very handy to have and will help you every step of the way. Best of the luck. Mary
