  1. I just downloaded the lapband app from the app store for lapband patients..y'all should check it out!
  2. I thought I has sciatica for a very long time and I did but when I went to the docs and had an MRI done, it turned out the disc in my lower back had herniated. Besides surgery, steroid injections, or a back brace, there was nothing the doc could do for me.

    Slacking

    I was also banded in May 2011. I don't feel like I'm slipping into my old ways but I have stalled for the past 2 months and am getting a little discouraged because I am trying everything to jump start this plateau and it's not working. It does make me wanna just pig out and say the hell with it sometimes but for now I'm hanging in there!
  4. Had surgery in May..down 70 lbs but now the weight loss seems to have stalled. Finally under 200lbs but only at 198 and it keeps taunting me..lol. Any and all suggestions on how to kickstart and get out of this plateau?? Thanks.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions. @ Xavier I'm scared to get another fill because I think I am where I need to be as far as restriction so another fill would make me toooo tight but in the past, whenever I did get a fill I would started losing again for about a month. I thought myself that I may need to do some shock therapy to jump start my metabolism so I will be trying all y'all suggestions. Thanks.

    Nutritional Info

    Myfitness pal.com is a great tool to use for tracking that stuff! I keep everything LOW. Low carbs..low or no sugar. I stay at 1200 calories a day..3 meals..2 snacks..lots of water. I eat/drink lots of protein. Was banded on May 31 and down 57lbs so it's working for me! You gotta find what works for you..hope this helps.

    May 2011 Banditos

    Was banded on May 31st...down 57lbs! Had 2 fills so far..not much exercise..just walking. Love the band! I just eat like I'm supposed to and everything is fine. Substituted a shopping addiction for a food addiction..I actually like shopping now that I can fit the cute stuff..lol! Everyone seems to be doing great!
  10. Please tell me what you all do to curb your sugar craving!! Mine is out of control..the sweets are calling me. Or do you all have any snack recommendations?

  13. Hey guys and gals! I was banded on May 31st and am down 52lbs so far. I have had two fills (really didn't need the last one). No throwing up or sliming episodes. Little to no exercise (I have a herniated disk in my back that keeps me still). I track everything I eat and keep it all in moderation. Everyone is noticing the loss and I love it! Glad to see others are doing well!

    Protein Drinks???

    If u prefer a drink (like juice) as opposed to a shake..Isopure have a 20oz 100% whey isolate drink with 40grams in it..vitamin shoppe sells it and it comes in many flavors

    Does everyone really eat proteins first

    I too start my morning off with a protein drink on my way to work..25 grams. Lunch is usually leftover dinner from the night before..meat w/veggies..10-20 grams. Next I'll drink my 20oz of Isopure protein drink..40 grams. Dinner is usually some kind of meat or fish w/veggie..protein there.

    Good Aerobics DVD

    Anybody know of any GOOD aerobics DVD's?? I mean one that gives a really good aerobic workout! I have been researching different ones along with Wii workout games etc and wanna get some opinions. Thanks.
  18. I am curious to know if anyone eats at night or late night? Some days I can't get my 1200 calories in during the day and find myself eating after 8pm (which I try to stick to). I get my protein and fluids in but I am seriously low in calories which I believe is the cause for my recent stall in weight loss.

    Thanks guys..I am eating well but I was a bit concerned about eating at night to get the rest of the calories in..now my mind is a little more at ease. This site is really helping me get a grip on my band journey!

    May 2011 Bandsters

    Hi guys, I was banded on May 31st weighing in at 263lbs..now I'm at 220lbs..down 43lbs. I just got my 1st fill last week and I have 3.5cc in my 11cc band. My clothes are falling off my body..lol. I have yet to do much exercise (besides walking) but I know once I started the weight will melt off. I am losing pretty good right now!! Everyone seems to be doing well..keep it up May 2011 bandsters!!
  23. I am so busy focusing on getting my Protein and fluids in daily that I am having a hard time getting 2-3 meals in a day because the liquids seems to keep me filled for hours. By not getting the solid meals in, I am not getting the daily calories in (1200). 40grams of my protein comes from my 20oz Isopure Protein Drink which I start every morning with. The rest of my liquid comes from Water. I often have to force myself to eat something because I know I haven't eaten. I'm afraid that if I don't get the liquid in I will become dehydrated and if I dont get the protein in I wont continue to lose weight. I have yet to find anything that will give me 40grams of protein in one drink or meal for that matter. Is there anyone else having a problem getting meals in due to liquids or just not being hungry period??
