The Horrible Feeling That You Are Done

Chris - What ever you do, DON'T GIVE UP! Stayed engaged with this forum or a buddy. Go back to the basics! Count every carb - even veggies, coffee creamer, everything you put in your mouth. Try to keep it less than 30g a day. Also, make sure you are drinking at least 32 oz of plain Water everyday plus another 32 oz of crystal light or non-calorie flavored water. Make sure you are getting all of your Protein in every day, preferably lower calorie options. If you have already been doing this (with no cheating) you may have to shock your body. Eat a higher carb diet for a couple of days, then back to the basics. You can do this!! -
I have a friend that was sleeved two weeks after me, we called each other SB and SB2. Our surgeon told us we needed to get that SB attitude to be successful.

I am sure many of you that are further along on our journey have had a friend or family member call you "skinny" as a sweet compliment to your weight loss. It has happened to me a couple of times over the past year. Well, I knew I was far from it still but I just smiled and said "Thank you". Well, yesterday morning on the way to church, I was riding in the back seat with my 4 yr old (not normal) and commented how much room there was back there now. My son, as with most kids at this age, is brutally honest. He stated that I fit so well because I was SKINNY. Skinny? Me? Really? Wow, it is so awesome that my son sees me like that way. I am not the fat mom any more. Yay!!

Thanks everyone. It's great. I still have a little ways to go but this has been one of the best decisions I ever made.

Yes, been there and just recently broke through an almost three month stall. I refuse to give up. I have less then 12 lbs to my goal weight. It may take 6 more months, but I can't give up. We WILL do this. -
Didn't make but I am still going to set a stretch goal for the next challange. Only 12 lbs to final goal.
-
Meggie, You look terrific. I was out of town last week on our anniversary. I am still 11.6 lbs from my final goal but I am still thrilled with the changes the past year has brought. Best decision ever!!

Down a little more this week. Slow but still down and I had an awesome NSV this week. I was doing some much needed clothes shopping for an upcoming business trip and found a shirt I loved but no large. So, on a total whim, I tried on the medium... IT FIT!! SW - 183.2 CW - 181.2 GW - 173.2

Best Nsv Ever! I'm A Finalist!

Voted. Good luck. I hope you win. You are an inspiration to us all. -
I am almost 10 months out and was previously a diet coke addict. Really, I would drink 5-6 a day. I waited until the end to give it up - aka 3 days before sugery. Right after surgery it was torture because my husband would still be sucking them down. My surgeon said everything in moderation. I planned on waiting until 6mths out. I had a sip or two before that but when I decided to actually have a diet coke, I decided that I really don't care for it anymore. I have drank a couple but it's has taken several hours to finish it. On the other hand, my drink of choice is Crystal Light Energy, Wild strawberry. It has much needed caffiene for me and as an added plus B Vitamins and Biotin.

Breast Reduction Post Op
susnl replied to Candace2314's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Most posts that I see is for implants not reductions. I know speaking for myself, I have lost most of the girls. I would say wait until you are closer to goal to decide to move forward with a reduction. -
Yay!! After so many years buying all of my intimates at Lane Bryant, I am having to venture out. It's really hard to know what to buy. I did get a Victoria's Secrets gift card for Christmas. I can't wait. @oregondaisy - Try Warner's All Day Fit - No Wedgie Hipster, they seem to be my favorite so far. I found them at some of the larger department stores here in the south for around 3/$25 on sale. And don't laugh, but my local Sam's club carries them for 3/$12, definitely worth the risk, if you are not sure if you like them.

I'm in. I hit (and passed) my Christmas goal, yay!, first time since surgery that I didn't miss it by a hair. Ready to do this! SW...194,CW...194,GW...180

One-derland And Nsv - What A Great Weekend!
susnl posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
So, this morning (my official weekly weigh-in) the scale said 199.4. Wow, it's amazing to see that in print. This is such an amazing journey. And... over the weekend, I took my son to Disney World. I was able to easily fit AND get out of all the rides. At the end of each day, I still had energy to burn. This was so much different from times before when I could barely make it back to the hotel. The best NSV was at the playground at the Animal Kingdom. I climbed right up the nets and across the rope bridges. I would have never done this before. Then I went right down the enclosed curly slides and I fit NO PROBLEM. But, the absolute best NSV happened when I got to the bottom of the slide. A women who was waiting on her child at the bottom of the slide said "Oh, you are such a good mom climbing up and going through those things." I just wanted to tell her that she didn't know the half of it. I just wanted to blurt my whole story out but I just smiled and nodded. I was just so happy to be able to do it. -
You look awesome. Congrats!!!
