  1. I haven't had a sip of alcohol in 8 weeks. I don't miss it. Thought I would. No more beer for me....but a nice glass of wine now and then will do the trick.

  2. Back in the studio. Bouncing down tracks for Angel Alanis to master. He makes my music sound so good!! :)

  3. I have a autographed record from CJ Bolland that says "If you want to remain underground, you have to keep digging deeper". That is how I plan on operating from this day forward. And if you don't know who CJ Bolland is... LOOK IT UP!!

  4. Things are progressing rather quickly with our event ideas. I suggest you become a fan of Viva LaTech so that we can keep you updated. Low cost, no youngsters, good sound, extended DJ sets, late hours and plenty of good music to groove to. We are going to created or own thing and I hope you come along with me for the ride.

  5. Changing your life for the better is never easy but it should always be worth it.

    using myfitnesspal.com

I also use MyFitnessPal. It has helped me tremendously. I know what you mean about the amount of calories. On a day with no exercise it says I can have up to 2,230 calories day to maintain 1 1/2 of weight loss per week. If I exercise that number is almost 3000. I never get close to that number. I am not interested in losing weight really fast. I am more interested in gaining perspective of what I put into my system and keep a nice controlled weight loss. Plus I don't really want that deflated look. I am working with a nutritionist and they say it is the best way to go to keep off the lbs for good. Everyone is different though and no matter how you use it MyFitnessPal is a great product and service. You can add me on there if you like. My username is djtheeo thanks
  7. The scene has brought a lot to my life. It gave me my wife, my best friends and some of the most amazing experiences a person can have. I am blessed because of the music. It is only natural for me to want to fight for something that I love.

  8. Stop Shuffling and Start Grooving!

  9. OK I have been talking on my facebook soapbox for too long this evening. Thank you for all the comments and feedback. I am going to bed, taking back the scene is going to require a good nights rest ;)

  10. 2 weeks for me as well. I stated back at the gym mainly doing cardio and now 6 weeks later I am hitting the gym 4 days a week for at least a hour and doing weight training also.
  11. I don't need carnival rides. I don't need fireworks. I don't need the sideshow. I need a sweaty room, people grooving, a system that hits your chest, maybe a laser, and music. Music that I won't be able to hear anywhere else but in that environment. Music that is only meant for those moments. Not music for advertisements, not music for the radio. Music for the warehouse!

  12. I don't make music for the masses. I make music for myself and hope a few people I may or may not know enjoy it as well.

  13. Being a producer is the new being a DJ. Everyone is doing it. ;)

  14. In the studio finishing up a couple of tracks and getting them ready for labels :)

    6 Week Follow Up

Thank you all for the moral and loving support. It means the world to me to have people in the same situation rooting me on. Thank you again.
  16. Yesterday was my 6 week follow up and my first opportunity to get a fill. When I weighed in I was down 21 lbs in 6 weeks. Not bad. That averages 3.5 lbs a week. So far so good. I am currently happy with my level of restriction. I am counting calories and going 4 days week (at least) to the gym. So I think for right now it was the right move to not get a fill. My surgeon was fine with that as long as I am losing the weight. There are many ways to get to the same destination in weight loss...and right now I feel I am on a good path.

    A fill?

Tomorrow is my 6 week follow up. I have the option of getting a fill. After talking with them today I am debating the fill. I feel I have good restriction. I don't eat like a I used to that is for sure. I probably eat less then half of what I used to in meals. I have also given up sugar, white rice and bread along with deep fried foods. I think the hardest part of this whole process for me isn't the restriction, it is the psychological want of junk or comfort food. I always wanted the band to help me more in that aspect as opposed to feeling restricted. I never wanted to get it so tight where I felt I couldn't eat what I wanted to. I just needed to want to eat better food. I feel the band has helped me because with a limited amount I can take in, I want to make sure I take in the best stuff for me. It has helped me understand what I am putting into my system and therefore it causes me to think twice when ordering food and eating. It has also forced me to count calories and when you start doing that, it really helps you understand what you shouldn't and should be eating. I am also hitting the gym regularly and pushing myself physically as well. I like where I am at thus far. I have good restriction. I have no issues with being stuck. I have no issues with certain foods. No vomiting or nausea. So should I get a fill at this point?
  18. Late night studio session with Mike Young

  19. It will do that for you but remember it is a tool and not a cure. It requires you to take the lead in your weight loss and health. People fail on the band all the time because although they may have restriction, that doesn't stop you from eating high calorie and high fat food. You need to be the one to force that change.
  20. I am currently getting 1200-1600 calories a day. I work out a lot and it is suggested that I get in 100 grams of Protein a day and it can be very hard to do so by eating less than this. I also chose to give up a lot of carbs. While the lap band does give me good restriction I also feel that it is the increased activity and the wiser selection in food that is helping the most. Restriction is easy to obtain with the lap band, your habits are much harder to tackle. It can be very possible to be malnourished with the band. Balance is what we should all strive for.
  21. I can tell you that before my surgery on May 13th my blood sugars were in the 230-340 range. 6 weeks later and 21 lbs lighter I am now in the 90-120 range and have never hit past 140. I see my endocrinologist next month and hope to take myself off a few meds. I got the lap band mainly for my diabetes and ithas helped tremendously.
  22. No Vegas for me. I hate the heat. Blah.

  23. 6 week follow up for my lap band went well. Lost 21 lbs so far. That is an average of 3 lbs a week. Not bad. I decided not to get a fill in my band today. I feel good with my current level of restriction and the changes I am making in my diet and my work outs.

    Sushi

You can order hand rolls (not cut rolls) without rice. I order them that way all the time.
