My name is Lauren. I am 22 years old, 5' 6", current weight of 243 lbs and a BMI of 39.

When my journey started, I weighed 289 lbs and had a BMI of 47.

I lost 30 lbs. on my pre-surgery weight loss program and lost about 3 lbs. on my two week pre-op liquid diet.

In addition to being severely overweight, I also have type II diabetes, hypertension and PCOS,

My surgery date was May 3rd, 2011.

It was performed by Dr. Paul Ross (who I absolutely love and would recommend to anyone) at Spartanburg Regional Hospital.

So far I have lost about 13 lbs post-op and am LOVING IT!
