I had my surgery yesterday. I also had a hiatal hernia and the pain is about a 5 when you move.

I can not wait to be banded. My insurance denied me 2 weeks ago so now I am collecting alot of data and medical history. The only thing I do not have is a 6 month history of dieting. I am from Austin and willing drive to see Dr. Spivak. I just trust him.

I have been denied and I do not know what to do. For me this is depressing. I have decided to appeal. Does anyone have an example of an appeal letter?

What are you suppose to eat in a normal day? What items should you have in the home when you get home from surgery?

I went to Dr. Spivak seminar this pass Wednesday and thought he was great. I traveled from Austin because I read so many good things about him. Before I left the office I decided to have bypass surgery but on the long trip home I changed my mind. (wanted lap band) I can't see me having my stomach cut. I have so many questions to ask. I hope in the upcoming days they will be answered.
