Hey everyone! It's Mimi the 20 year old Jersey girl. Last time I was on here I was browsing and talking about getting approved. Now I'm 2 weeks and 6 days banded, time flies! I need to make a video about my psychological and emotional issues with weight and weight loss, ASAP. The closer I get to surgery date the more I feel like I just want to stay fat, it's what I've always known. Stay tuned

If the purpose of chewing food 30 times bfor swallowing is to make sure it is liquid-like consistency so it can go down smoothly how can that liquid not slide through the opening of the band like other slider foods? If you chew your 4 oz of food to ice cream or mashed potato consistency I don't understand how it can stay in your stoma, keep u full, and not slide through? Curious to kno the technicalities behind this?

My surgeon does not require a 2 week pre op liquid diet. Should I do one anyway? What do you think?
