Hi All, went in Tuesday came home Friday! The first few days I was literally have second thoughts. It's Saturday and I am so happy I did it. Everyday gets so much better. I lost a lot of blood from the blood thinners they gave me, so I had to have a blood transfusion.

Looking for August 13th Surgery Buddies

Hi What procedure are you getting?: How long did the process take?
  6. You're not that far from me- my ticker includes 11 lost before surgery. I'm sorry your doctor is so stingy with fills!!

  7. Hi Rachel, You are doing so well! What do you eat on a daily basis? My surgery was on 4-27 and I have only lost 27 lbs. My dr only gives fills every 8 weeks so I have only had 1 fill. it seems like I dont even have a lapband.

    fill not working?

I got my first fill on Wednesday. My band holds 10 ccs. I got 4 ccs, then the nurse made me drink water. It felt like pressure in my chest, so she took .5 ccs out, then the pressure in my chest went away when I drank the water. now I don't feel any restriction, I can eat a lot without feeling full. Why is this happening? Should I have not told the nurse I felt restriction with the 4ccs, then she wouldnt have taken any out, and maybe I would feel full and not hungry? I feel like I am having to diet like I used to before the surgery with no help from the band! I really frustrating!

    I don't understand

Thank You, I feel better now!
  11. I was banded on April 27th, and I have lost 20 lbs so far. I lost it all in 2 weeks which I loved watching the scale move everyday. I have not lost a pound in two weeks. How can I not be losing when I am eating so little. I am eating about 1000 to 1200 calories a day. I am starting to get discouraged. I get my first fill on June 8th. hopefully that will help. i have no restriction, and I am hungry all the time and can eat anything. So looking forward to losing again and not being hungry. I am also a little scared about getting a fill, but I know I need one!
  12. Thank you, you always have such great advice. I want you to be my mentor????
  13. I am 3 weeks out and starting to feel like I can eat more without feeling full. Everything goes down even if I dont chew well. Will things totally change once I get fills?
