Thank you . I appreciate that. I definitely am starting to feel a lot better. Moving around is so much less exhausting now, lol..looking forward to the next 70 lbs being gone. I see in another thread that you are starting your preop diet!! That is so exciting!!! You totally got this. -
You are doing amazing. Seriously!!!! Took me like 2 years to lose 71 lbs.. Some lose slower than others..and you actually sound like one of the fast ones!!!

Year Mark Approaching
tryingtolose24 replied to ready4animprovedme's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You have done FANTASTIC!!! Honestly, there is a HUGE learning curve with this. It doesn't come natural for people to learn to eat with a devices wrapped around their stomach. With what you have managed to learn over the span of this last year will greatly help you over the following years. Celebrate your success. You deserve it. 71 lbs is huge. Took me 2 years to lose 70. And the first year and a half was extremely discouraging. 71 lbs. You have kicked ass this year. Sincerely. Look at what you have done so successfully!!! -

Hello all! I have been stuck in the worst kind of way for the last 4 hours. It is painful..throwing up doesn't even help (and yes, I know you aren't supposed to do that- but when your stuck, your stuck).! Does anybody have any home remedies that might help? I have tried papaya enzyme. Did nothing. I tried hot water with lemon. Nope. Have no meat tenderizer at home :/. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance

Hello everyone, Thanks for all the great suggestions! I tried and tried but nothing would pass. It was quite an experience. As a result I became dangerously dehydrated. I ended up calling the on call physician the next day who said I needed to meet her at the office on Sunday morning (as throwing up liquids even is never a good sign). Ends up my band was wayyyyy too tight (she put the needle in to take some liquid out and the liquid rushed out into the needle without her even touching it!). So now, I have a little less than usual in my band but I am able to drink liquids again (and eventually mushies and regular food). I will go back in a month to see if I need a tiny bit more in. I really appreciate everyone's responses and willingness to help. It was great to feel supported .

Lapband Just Did Not Work For Me
tryingtolose24 replied to womanof1000secrets's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You got this. It does take time and it is an extremely difficult process. Just curious, have you ever been checked for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or endometriosis? It is EXTREMELY frustrating for a physician to assume that you are not following the rules, when in fact you are. It would be nice if they had a good balance between understanding and a knack for motivation. I had to go in for an emergency unfill today..and the PA said to me that it takes a long time to figure this out. "Our parents didn't raise us by eating with a lapband." So very true. It's completely different than anything we are used to. My gyno was the one who figured out why I could never lose weight regardless of playing tennis for hours daily..perhaps your gyno might be of some help. Just a suggestion, I could be completely wrong on this. Just wanted to send some encouraging words. You CAN do this!! Sage -
That sounds FUN!

Oh and I love the mess with guys heads idea! Haha. I'm with you. And a bikini would be nice. Not worrying about doctors being mean to you because your overweight running! Dancing for a much longer period of time! Hiking Fooling around without being self-conscious! Ah good times are to be had. I'm Sage, by the way. First time posting here in the 20s forum.

Looking for size 22 clothes
tryingtolose24 replied to Hopefully's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have a green pea coat, size xxxl. Interested? It's really cute and has really never been worn. Might have one tiny tear that would be easy to mend. -
Sorry. I thought the first post didn't post

I know exactly what you are talking about. I did a lot of research and found that athletes foot spray (like Lotrimin) is the trick. At the first sign of inflammation, wash the area and DRY it as thoroughly as possible. Once dry, spray the Lotrimin on it. It might burn for 10 seconds or so..but sweet relief and healing will follow. Continue doing it daily until it leaves..although it often only takes 1-2 times for it to work for me. And to prevent it..wash the area with soap every time you shower and DRY it every time you get out. It's the moisture which causes the inflammation and resulting icky stuff. I read it is hidden yeast from being in a hot moist area. That is why it is so important to make sure you dry thoroughly. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!
