I am with the Davis Clinic and they have their own version of the protein shake. It works very well and it has all the vitamins and minerals that I need.

I have 5 days left before I get my sleeve. I have been doing well on my pre-op diet and it has not been as difficult as thought. I have lost 39lbs since June 2, 2010 and I am know that my doctor will be very suprised when I weigh in on July 2, 2010.

I was given the protein shakes on June 2, 2010. I started using the shakes the next day just so I could get in a routine. I did not use the shakes constantly until two weeks before my surgery. I am glad I started early because my BMI was very high.

My surgery has been set for July 2, 2010. I am somewhat excited yet I am a little scared. I know this will be a life changing event for me but I am praying that I am able to help someone who is considering weight loss surgery. Since I have been a member of this site I have been truly educated in all aspects of the surgery and eating stratergies. I am glad to be a member and I appreciate everyone that has contributed their stories which has educated me beyond belief. I am currently on a liquid diet and is going better than thought. At times I get fustrated when I think about the foods that I used to eat however as each day goes by it gets a little easier for me. I keep reminding myself that I have to get my health in order to be here for my beautiful wife and two children. I started my weight loss journey June 2, 2010 and I weighed in at 408 lbs. As of today June 21 I weigh 379 lbs. Losing weight has never been a problem for me once I get started however keeping it off has been my downfall. My doctor wants my weight down to 200 lbs. I know I am going to do it and thank God for giving me the opportunity for getting my life and health together. Please keep me in your prayers that I make a speedy recovery. I love you all in Christ. I read that you have sleep apnea and that you had to sleep with a cpap machine. I am in the same situation however I was fitted with a bipap machine. The cpap machine caused me to go into central apnea. I am concerned about the apnea during surgery. Any advice.

Has anyone lost more than 200 pounds with the VSG? I would love to hear from you.

I believe that my doctor will advise me to have the gastric bypass however I believe that my body responds quickly to exercise however my eating is out of control. I beleive that gastric bypass may be too drastic for me. Any advice.
