So I have my last diet appt today with my Dr. before we resubmit for lapband. My problem is that I think I may show as gaining weight sence my last appt. I am on my monthly and have lots of water weight. Should i move my appt if i can or should i have them put that in there notes. I know i am loosing because i am down a pant size sence my last appt.

Everyone has a nurse on their case they are the ones who say yes or no. I have Aetna too. I was just told 3 more months of diet after i have done everything that they wanted in the first place.

So my Dr. office called for me and they are now saying that they never got anything from them saying that i wanted this done. She faxed over the letter that she got from insurence and all she said was oh. So the plan the my dr. and i came up with is go back to PCP Friday so that i have a " July" diet appt. Then go back in 2-3 weeks for a Aug diet appt. and that will give me 4 months of notes of a diet with my PCP and that way we can send it in before 45 days. Hope it works.

I am a nursing mother and a Lactation Consultant. You need to start pumping first and formost. Then you need to get in contact with a lactation consultant in your area and you also need to speek with the Drs and get a list of the medication that they plan on using. I had no issues with breastfeeding my son after being put under. Its all about the half life of a medication and how much is transfered into the milk. Most pain meds are fine to take but then again you need to be pro active and let your doctors know that you are breastfeeding and need a list of the medications so that you can make a safe and informed decision on when it is safe. Dr. Hall has a book out called Medicines and Mothers Milk. His WHOLE life has been the study of mothers milk and medications. He is the #1 resource that is used in the medical world.

I am needing to show that I was on Weight Watchers. I no longer have my book that they give you to track your weight. I called Weight Watchers and they faxed me a receipt of what moths i paid to be on the program. Do you know if that will work for Aatna?

The max you should pay is $3500. Do you have a flex spending option with your benefits? It is cheeper than financing

I am now just waiting for approval form the insurance. I have done all that they ask and require but I am still worried that I will be denied coverage. Has anyone ever been denied even though it is a covered procedure?

Ok so here it is. I have everything I need done just need paperwork sent to insurance. I have spoken with them many times. The lady I spoke with yesterday has had lap band as well. She told me “once you do what we require for pre certification we are very quick to approve you for lap band”. So my question is I already have to have my gallbladder taken out and that is set for Aug. 4th. I have flare ups but I can live with it most days. If I get a call that says you have been approved you surgery is in 3-4 weeks what do I do. I have to have 6 weeks between the surgeries. Would you move your gallbladder surgery and have lap band done sooner or would you wait and have lap band done at the end of Septerber or October?

I have my first appt with my Surgeon in one week. I am so excited I can’t wait. I have already done all the stuff the insurance makes you do to get approval so now it’s just meet the doc and wait for approval. Does anyone know Dr. Malley? If you do let me know what you think of him.
