Congratulaions on your bandaversary! Your one year loss is amazing! Keep up the good work, you have done an awesome job. I will be banded on May 16th and I am planning on take a trip to Vegas to celebrate my bandaversary next year.

I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Morales on May 16th. Has anyone on here had lapband performed by him? If so, how did it go and how would you rate him? He's in the office with Dr. Scott. I'm desperately trying to settle my nerves. -
I couldn't agree with 4anewme more. I am just starting this journey. My surgery is scheduled for May 16th. At first I kept thinking that I would have the surgery and magically drop weight; however, the more I thought about it and talked to different people, I realized that I didn't gain all of this weight overnight and it would be unrealistic to think I could lose it overnight. With that being said, hang in there. Every day will not be a bed of roses but with determination and consistency, you can and will reach your goal. Good luck!

Not a happy camper right now! My surgery was set for 5-9 and then the dr's ofc realized I needed an EGD. I had that done today and everything came back fine only to be told that they already gave my slot to someone else! What! So, now I wait until 5-16. Ugh!!!

Started my high protein liquid pre-op diet this morning. Can someone PLEASE give me some pointers or suggestions on how to drink these things without gagging? I'm drinking the strawberry Muscle Milk light in powder form.

I have a tentative surgery date of May 9th. I still have to do the endoscopy which is scheduled for May 3rd. If it shows I have a hernia then I will have to wait until May 16th so that the dr's office can get clearance from the insurance co. to repair the hernia and do the band at the same time. I'm soooo anxious! -

After reading about lap band for at least 3 years, I finally took the necessary steps to take control of my life. I am so excited about finally being able to get healthy. My surgery is set for May 9th, Yay ! I'm going on Wednesday, April 27th for pre-op testing. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I should do to prepare myself for this next phase of my life? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. -

Congratulations! I know exactly what you mean. I got the call today that will change my life forever! My surgery is scheduled for May 9th. It seems like a dream that's finally coming true. I've been looking into this procedure for 3 years. Best of luck to you!
