  1. I think that I am defiantely at the dreaded 3 week stall. I only lost .2 today. Hopefully I can break it next week when I start hitting the gym. I am kinda bummed about it but knowes that this is part of the process....

    Weird Dreams

    Yes, I have had some crazy dream from food to being lost to sex. Some of them I remember and some of them I don't. Some seem so real and some are like I am watching a movie. Crazy!!!

    How many carbs??

    I have not really counted because I am in the mushies stage and some of the foods that I eat are higher in carbs than what I like. I will tell you this, now that I am in the mushies, I will be eating a lot more foods that are lower in carbs than what I had been. I plan on starting that next week. I was losing a pound to a pound and a half per day and right now I am just losing anywhere between .6 to .4 per day. I have always noticed that I do lose better when I watch my carbs.

    Fast Food eating out

    Tonight my husband is going to the camp, so it is just me and the kiddo's. They are wanting Popeye's for supper and I am kinda stressing out. Pre surgery, Popeye's was on of my weaknesses. Tonight is going to be a test. I am not tempted in the least for the chicken but I am just wondering what do I get. I know that they have mashed potatoes and red beans. I am thinking that either one of those would be okay? Or if I should just stay away completely and get something at home?

    Fast Food eating out

    I am not attraced to food at all but I don't think that I could do the baby food. It totally turns me off and can not bring my self to eat it. I know that maybe I should but I can't. I may just get the mashed potatoes and share with my little boy. I know that he would like them. Or I may just eat my cottage cheese.

    started purees today...hungry?

    I will get like that. Matter of fact, I was like that last night. I just wanted to graze. I find that when I eat faster that I feel more restriction. When I eat slower, I notice the hunger "feelings' more. I ate my 1/4 cup of canned chicken and a bit of refried Beans and a little salsa today over 30 minutes and I was stuffed. Could not even finish what I had. I am going to have to work on eating more slowly.

  12. Only had a loss of .4 but a loss is a loss right? I hope that I am not hitting the dreaded week 3 stall.

  13. I also have small kids. I have a 5 yr old, a 4 yr old and a 5 month old. My 5 yr old is already aware of being fat. She is already worrying about how she looks and if she looks fat. She has told me that she does not want to be fat. Like you I try to encourage as much physical activity as possible and healthy eating. I know that they are kids and will want kid food but I do try to stress the importance of healthy eating to both of them. They are not aware that I had surgery and I will tell them when the time is right. Like you I was put on many diets when I was little. I know that from past experiences that I WILL NOT tell my child that she is on a diet. I think that telling them that will do more damage than good. Just keep stressing the importance of eating healthy and the physical activity!! Good Luck!!

    Beginning week 3

    I was also sleeved on 12/14/10 and at week 3. I agree with what everyone else has said, focus on getting your water, protein and exercise in. Another thinkg that you may want to do is to possible change up your foods that you are eating. Congrats to you!!!!

    I am sooo happy for you and all your NSV's. Each one is a may seem like a small accomplishment but when you actually look at it, they are HUGE accomplishments. And losing 70lbs is AWESOME!!!! Congrats to you!!!
  18. Hey Becca!!! I saw your post that you are taking two weeks off of work. You are going to be fine. The only thing is that you may notice that you are a little sore from moving around more. I absolutely LOVE my sleeve!!!

    I'm getting so Scared......

    I felt the same way as you did before I got my sleeve on 12/14/10. Here is what I did. I pushed it from my mind. Did not think about it. When I set my date in October, that was all I could think about. I decided that it was best for me to just not think about it until December came around. When December came around, I thought about it but not like I was before. I had made peace with my decision. This board helps out so much with your thoughts, feeling and just everything that you are going thru because we have all been there or fixing to be there. As far as the pain goes, I did not hurt. I was more worried about dying on the table than the actual procedure it self. My Dr. reassured me that all was going to be okay and you know what? It was!!!! When I woke up I was sore but not like I was expecting. I actually hurt more two weeks after the surgery than I did right after. You will know when you have had too much to eat. Trust me your body will let you know. You will have a different relationship with food. I use to love coke and would drink one everyday or two a day and you know I quit cold turkey, my relationship with sweets is over. The only thing that I can actually say that I wish that I could eat would be a Chick Fil La sandwich. And I know that one day I will be able to have a bite of it but not right now. You will be more concerned with what you are drinking than eating. You will be fine and lean on your support system here.

  25. I am going to go get me a rotisserie chicken and make me a "chicken salad" of some sorts and see how long I can live off of that one chicken!! I have some Beans so I may cook them down also!! Thanks!!
