  1. I am 6 days post op and am finally not in any pain and therefore really hungry!!!! I am so sick of the shakes and crystal light that i am dreaming of all of the mushy foods i can eat. I saw a Sonic commercial with a hotdog and pickle on it on it almost brought tears to my eyes. THIS IS NOT NORMAL-FOOD SHOULD NOT MAKE PEOPLE CRY. I know this is going to sound gross but i heard that drinking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar curbs appetite so how different could a half a cup of pickle juice really be? So I drank some and it tasted pretty good. It definitaly didnt taste as good as a Sonic hotdog with a pickle on it but helped me get over the self pitying, deprived feeling.

    Feeling sick

I got banded on 4/22 and it i'm not even sure what hurts more, the incision sight or where the actual band is. It feels like there is a brick on my chest and the only way I can sleep is at a 90 degree angle. I had three sips of a protein shake yesterday and I thought the pressure in my chest would kill me. Please tell me this feeling ends soon. I've only had diet iced tea, water and cheweable vitamins. I feel like i should walk but I'm so dizzy and miserable. It doesnt feel like gas pain exactly, more like pressure. ugh.

    Protein Shakes

I've got a really great recipe for a chocolate smoothie but since I just got banded yesterday I havent had one in a few days and i already miss it. 1 cup fat free milk (90Cal/13 carbs/8 pro) 1 scoop GNC unflavored Soy Protein (60Cal/0 carb/13 protein) $9.99 for 11 oz 1 squirt of Fox's U-Bet sugar free Chocolate Syrup (which has no sugar/calories/carbs!!) $2.49 bottle For a grand total total of 150 calories, 13 carbs and 21 grams of protein each smoothie. Add a few ice cubes and blend-blend-blend is the key because tasting the loose powder can be unpleasant.
