Rachel Lebowitz LMSW

Hey all1 My name is Rachel Lebowitz. I live on Long island in New York with my amazing husband and two dogs. By day I am a bariatric social worker doing pre-op evals and post-op counseling of all sorts. By night I'm super woman! Just kidding. I am a wife, traveler, lover of the New York Islanders and blogger!

I am also a bariatric patient. I had lap-Band surgery in March 2008. It didn't work out so well so I revised to the sleeve in Oct 2010. I am loving my sleeve! I have lost a total of 115lbs and still have another 100lbs I'd love to lose!

Anything else you want to know, just ask! I am super friendly and LOVE meeting new people!! In fact, I love Bariatric peeps so much I just got home from a two week road trip in which I visited Post-op friends in 13 different states in 12 days! I run a support group in My office in Baldwin and one at Panera Bread in East Meadow.
