Braums fat free milk tastes great and has Low Fat Milk 1% (Braum's)Serving Size: 1 cup, Calories: 120, Fat: 2.5g, Carbs: 15g, Protein: 10g Chocolate Frozen Yogurt (Braum's)Serving Size: 1/2 cup, Calories: 90, Fat: 2g, Carbs: 18g, Protein: 4g Most greek yogurts have 10 or more grams of protein as well as braums yogurt. Peas have protein lots of it. deli meats budding 10 calories per slice and Protein. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/brand/list this is a great tool to use and I add sugar free koolade to every glass of water I drink. EAS advant Edge shakes Atkins shakes all low cal and lots of Protein. I m fighting kidney stones and having to take lots of supplements because I just could not eat. I'm doing better, but I make protein and water a priority now. Oh eat mushy foods. Puree it in the blender. The magic bullet is my best friend. Good luck -

My hair is coming out and I look like a burn victim on my face. Both have been happening about 2 months. I am at 5.5 months post op now. I'm told both revers themselves after a year. I'm going for steroids on Wednesday. I'll ask about the scalp treatment too. I'm guessing it a prescription. -

That's wonderful. If you read the thread you'll get it. -
Hey all I'll tell you the smell thing bothered me for a couple of months. Still if it's a pungent smell I gag a little, but I'm almost 6 months out, I've dropped 100 pounds, and I still gurgle and bubble. I have GERD really bad. My Dr said that a very small number of sleevers have to go through a bypass to get rid of it, but I'm gonna see if I still have it after a year and then maybe I'll do another surgery, but I'm ok with it all if I keep losing the weight. 100 pounds and 5 dress sizes down I'm still a happy camper.

I live with my mom, but all of my family and my friends are all over 100 miles away and they are my main source of encouragement, so I understand, and facebook is wonderful for keeping you connected. It makes it all the better for when I get to see them and they are hit with the difference it helps me see it too. -

My kid calls me an old bag too, but he did tell me I was starting to look more like a Gucci bag instead of something of the rack at walmart. -

I have only lost 100 ponds of the over 200 I need to lose and so far everyone says nice things. My hair is falling out and the lose skin is really starting to show and my mother says to me"hey your just about at your goal.Right?" NO not at all I have at least 100 more pounds to loss and really like 150. I wieght 362 and now 5 month later almost 100 pounds lost. YAY! I tell you all of this because I have also noticed that people that have always been smaller then you are now uncomfortable. I am a 2x same as mom and 1 sister. Mom told me I should slow down so I don't look like a drug attict. She also gives me her clothes that are to big for her and gets mad that I don't wear them. They are too big for me too! My sister that's my size's said I really don't wont to be the big sister now lol, but she is very supportive and tells mom to chill all the time. My baby sister is a size 16 and told me she's with mom on this. That 130 is too small for me and it would look bad on me. I should stop at size 20. I have never in my adult life been below 245, not even in high school, so how do they or any one know what will look good on me. Which brings me to my last sister. She is the 5'9 130 beautiful sister and I thought she would be the one non supportive, but she told me she was saving clothes for me. Size 8 and smaller. She and all 6 teen age niece's I have cheer me on and check on my progress. I think some ppl have no filter, but some are just insecure about the whole thing and don't want you to change. Blow it off and keep moving forward. In the end some of those ppl will have to "at least" change thier minds to keep up with you. -

Looking for Texas Sleevers???
jovigrl62 replied to ahchancey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey girl, Very happy to hear from you. No the wild fires have not touched us here in the piney woods, but last time I was in FW the big digital signs around 820 west were flashing the warnings and that was last month. I forget how truly big our state is. I love it! wow Los Colinas is such a nice area and so busy. I love going there and glad you will be living there soon. I understand the aging parent recall, I moved to NE Tx to help my mom with my grandparents and really miss being home. Thanks for responding and keep in touch. Let me know how the move is going. May your house go soon and for a good price. Welcome home! -
I'll talk to my Dr about the PPI. I don't think 2 many of his patients have had the problems I am having. I had to research it myself for the old nurse, the new one is much better at helping. My Dr did mention that a bypass my be my only option, just not sure I can do that at least not now. I Have recently come to the conclusion that my hunger pangs over the years has been GERD, and not hunger. After years of over eating thinking I was starving, to find out I was having sever reflux pain OMG how did I not know that. Well I know it now and I'm gonna have to deal, but I'm gonna be getting skinnier as I do. Thanks.

Looking for Texas Sleevers???

This thread has been going for awhile and I'm late to the party, but I'm in NE Tx near sulpher springs. I too would love to chat or meet fellow sleevers. Originally from fort Worth and will be back home there again one day. VGS 9/18/2011 lost about 90pounds so far. -
I just happened on this thread, but I'm 3months out. I've lost 8o pounds and had very little reflux pre-op and now I have GERD! If I have it the rest of my life I guess I'll just have to live with it, but I really don't want another surgery. I take Regland 4x a day and 40 mg of pepsid a/c and gas x daily. I had not heard of any of this before and this has been very enlightening. Thank you.
