Cleosan52 replied to Cleosan52's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
mp8btpc, this is such a wonderful song!!! the reason we breathe is to sing of his glory and for all he has done, praise the father, praise the son, and the spirit in one Thanks Vicki, hope you are having a blessed day -
Thanks for all the encouragement. I've had a turn around moment today and finally gave up the guilt that has been holding me back. I can't wait!!!! One more week!

I told my hubby, I'm trading in the rolls of fat to the flaps of skin. Being thinner is a bonus but being around to watch my family grow and prosper is my main goal. My babies are 5, 3 and 2. They deserve a healthy mama. Did you get a date? Wishing you all the best!

Girls your are awesome!!! And God is so good! I'm making a new topic where we can write about how we are Trading our Sorrows for Joy!!!!!

Happy Sunday Sleevers and soon to be sleevers and thinking about it sleevers!!! My God song of the week is Amazing Grace (my chains are gone). By Chris Tomlin. I truly feel like God is lifting chains off of me one by one. It is a wonderful feeling! I weighed in today and lost 3 more lbs (still waiting for my surgery) but that is a total of 24 lbs so far! Each one of those pounds is a chain on my body holding me down and back. I am 300 lbs now and able to exercise of 30 min straight without pain during or after. This is a big victory for me, and I give God all the glory. My chains are gone I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love, Amazing grace The Lord has promised good to me His word my hope secures He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures [nomedia=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqJsBRFdrA0]YouTube - Chris Tomlin - Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)[/nomedia] Blessings:001_wub:

I feel like it's slow going but really it's only been a couple of months. I started: July 27th- called the Dr for appt about WLS- started research about Lap band Aug 2- required info meeting Aug 6- psych eval, Aug 15- found this site from the LB one and self educated myself about the VGS had to wait for my first consultation Aug 27th, Sept 1st- Endoscope/GallBladder UltraSound Sept 13th- Pap Sept Sept 18th- Follow up Dr appt, bad news, gallbladder has to be removed Sept 21st- required Support mtg with my husband on 2 week no fat/carb diet to shrink liver for gall bladder surgery Oct 5th- gall bladder surgery So that's where I am here at the end of Sept. I still wish I knew the day of my sleeve surgery  Last I know, my insurance approved VGS however my company ( I work for the hospital) needs to get it written in our policy. Very frustrated to be told yes and no at the same time. But I know God has his reason and timing :biggrin0:

How long did it take to hear the descision from your insurance?
Cleosan52 replied to FlyGirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to wait 2-3 weeks for the wording "VGS" to be added to the list of WLS that my insurance covers. I work at the hospital where they are performed and my dr is the only one that does them. So I had to wait for the t's to be crossed and the i's dotted in the policy. After that I was approved in less that 24 hrs. -
Just My Thoughts... Your Opinions??
Cleosan52 replied to CraftyChristie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Christie I just want to second everything the gals are saying. You are a BIG inspiration to me. I love your pictures and videos and seeing how well you and hubby have and ARE doing! I am sorry about all the TOM issues and will be praying for you But as I read this, something came to mind. I remember reading on the OH board that when we shrink our fat cells, they release excess hormones into our system. Now add that plus your TOM plus the natural stalls we will have... it's no wonder you are feeling like this and it is perfectly normal. In fact, I want to thank you for keeping your feelings so real for us "soon to be sleevers." You rock girlie!!! Now work your sleeve and know that this will pass and you'll be getting that tattoo before you know it -

Praying all is going well! I love the last couple of posts! You guys are a blessing to me. God keeps reminding me that everything is in His timing. I have made a mess of things over the years but God is so good and his grace and mercy is daily. It is time for me to be healthy. I thank Him for guiding me to this point in my life and bringing you in my life Your words have blessed me greatly!

How are you doing?!?!?! I got a date today!!!! Oct 25th. Praying is well and that you are just loving life
-
He said the pain will be the same for both. My problem is I'm allergic to Ibprohen so I can't get any of the good meds This is my first surgery too so I just wasn't expecting the pain, but I'm on day three and I'm moving soooo much better. The other good thing is that I am going to be in hosp for three days instead of outpt for the VGS so I can get more meds like morphine. I pray you have a easy time like hubby

Well all, I had my gall bladder surgery yesterday. I feel like I just got run over by a Mack truck and then it backed up and went over me again I'm having a lot of gas pains but it has settled in the lower right side of my belly. Moving and burping helps alot! Dr said this will comparable to the pain I will have with my VGS. If that is the case, I think its doable but definately uncomfortable. Around 2 am, I had to get in the recliner to get some sleep and relief. Hubby is awesome. He's taking care of the house and the kiddos, he even came downstair and slept on the sofa in case I needed some thing. Oh and Get This!!! They counted 50 gall stones!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. On a great note, the dr is finally able to put in for my VGS and should here something in a week or two!!! Maybe I'll be a November sleever!!! What so you think? Is having your gall bladder remove feel like a VGS operation?
