My name is Kim I am a School Nurse and a mother of four that range from ages 25-7. I was banded 6/14/10 at Baptist Hospital, in Pensacola FL by Dr. Jeffery Friedman. He gave me my life back. I started at 265 and a size 20 and am now 196 and a size 12/14. Before surgery I had high blood pressure, and was a type II Diabetic. Now I have TONS of energy and NO MORE high blood pressure or diabetes!! I wish I had done this years ago. I talk to everyone about this surgery. A few I know have had the surgery and they are like me! WHY DID WE WAIT SOOOO LONG!

Carla did you looooose fast at the start and then sloooow down or what? I was banded 6/14/10 and have gone from 265 to 196 today. This last fill has not been very good, I can only get a few liquids in and solid food is a bear. I might take in 400 cals a day so I think maybe my body is MAD. I go next week to the Dr. I was suppose to have a fill but he may need to take some out? What do you think?
