Day 2 of liquids_6 days to surgery. Not going to be a fun 6 days...any suggestions on making it go by easier? tips on some good liquids that will fill me up?

I start the liquid diet 2/21 then surgery is 2/28. Seems like the process in the beginning is starving and living off of your stored fat. That's good cuz I have plenty of that but I worry about my energy level. In dieting they always say to eat enough or your metabolism will shut down...how's that work with wls? Anyone have some insight on the energy levels and recovery time? Thank you

The nutritionist lady told me no caffeine...decaf coffe and decaf tea. I told her I might have to test that one out for myself. I think if I try the decaf maybe I'll get used to it. It takes about a week to get over the withdrawal headaches

Haven't had the surgery yet but it'll be 2/28 in Lagrange. Dr Turton. I'm no help with the ins question...mine isn't covering it at all so far everyone has been super nice there. Good luck! -

depressed...i still have 2 wks & who knows how long after that before i feel comfortable again. stuck home alone on valentines wkend...

I have anthem blue cross also and they said my company doesn't cover any type of bariatric surgery.I didn't fight it just decided to get a loan from my 401k and get it over with.Scary part for me is that if anything goes wrong I'm all out of $. So worth it though(I hope).I'm scheduled for the 28th also in Lagrange,GA so guess we'll be going under on the same day.Good luck! -
