    Exercise

I am finally starting to feel good and am 20 days out! I am walking at least 30mins a day in addition to working which is good for me because I have never been one to excercise. I can't believe that I have gone more than 4 weeks without eating anything but protein drinks, water, and popsicles. I finally get to go to mushies after seeing my surgeon on Wednesday! It's amazing what we can do if we put our minds to it.

    Exercise

I have been trying to walk everyday but am feeling weak. Want to start working out at a gym but by the end of the day can hardly lift my arms! I am trying to do everything exactly the way they told me to so I have a good outcome but this weakness is really starting to get me down!

    introducing myself

Hi all, I had my surgery 4/12 and have to do 3wks of liquids only. I am drinking lots of water with a little light cranberry juice to help with the taste, protein shakes, Popsicles, and strained v8 juice. I am feeling weak and exhausted by the end of the day. Anybody else having a problem with this? I know that some doctors allow eating yogurt, pudding and creamed soups but I can't and am worried about going back to work on Monday. Any suggestions?

    April 2011 surgery dates

I had my surgery on April 12 and am doing pretty well but having a problem with weakness. My surgeon has me on liquids only until my f/u visit on May 5th. I am trying to drink all day and am doing two 42gm protein drinks a day. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so what are you doing for it? I am supposed to go back to work on Monday but not sure if I can work a full day? Suggestions?

    Hello, new here

Hi Terry I am 6 days out from surgery and am doing pretty good. Most of the pain is gone and am not doing to bad with the liquid diet. I just started on this forum today as I feel it is very important to have support with this process. I congratulate you on your courage to take this step and know that with support you and I have what it takes to change our lives. Keep writing!

    New to lap band lifestyle

I am day 6 post op and have not had any emotional upsets yet but I know I will. It is hard to go from using food to deal with your emotions and then abruptly not have the food available. It will take time to develop other coping skills. I am trying to take a breath when something comes up so I can get a handle on what is bothering me. There is a lot of things that need changing other than just the eating for me to be successful at losing the weight!

    Any April's out there?

I was banded on 4/12 and I encourage everyone waiting for surgery to go on the liquid diet at least a wk before your surgery. It makes it so much easier afterward. I am day 6 post op and still on full liquids but am feeling better everyday. Pain is finally gone, gas under control and able to get most of the required liquid in. It is very exciting to feel like I have control of my eating!
