    100lbs GONE!

I am so happy for you! Congrats lady!

    Frustrated!

Yes as the others have said, stalls happen. I had a 3-4 week stall starting at 2 1/2 weeks. Look up "3 week stall" there are tons of threads on this! The best advice has been given right here... just keep on going, do not compare your weight loss with others and follow your Drs advice. This is not a race. Cheer up! This is an adventure!

    Hair loss blues...baldness

Eat healthy, get protein and take your vitamins. I think color and cut is really all you can do. You body is spending time putting the energy into healing and adjusting... not making that frivolous hair! Try telling it we love our frivolous hair! Notice Im wearing a hat in my pic. I lost about 30% ,and at 2 years it is growing back, but is still 2 inches or less long, and a little thin texture wise. It is STILL falling out as well. Many here have had full hair growback, so I still hope for this. I also went through menopause, so that migth be part of the hair texture thing. No one else has really said anything or noticed...its just me that notices the most. It is still so worth it!
  5. Really, Im not kidding, This is pretty common. Even if you were eating 1200a day, it is not causing you to stall. Search "3 week stall". The worry is not needed... You ARE "eating like a bird",its your body adjusting to the surgery and rapid weight loss....taking a breath, It probably thinks you were injured and starving! Many have gone through this and gone on to losing massive amounts of weight. Just follow your Drs plan. Also, If you haven't started already, measure as well, you may well be losing inches. I went through MANY stalls over the first 12 months... stalls that lasted weeks. It is common for the body to do this. Just keep up the good work and it will come off.

    detox diet post op

Look up Divas Boot Camp... it is a 5 day plan that helps to get off the carbs. (Posted here someplace...)I am using Myfitnesspal.com and following a southbeachy plan at 1000-1200 cals lower carb. I was hog wild over the holidays myself.

How do you know if someone likes you?

Sounds like he likes you to me! I don't know what that may mean... but I would see how it goes... do you like him? You could ask him to meet for coffee or something neutral away from work...low pressure....
  8. This is a common stall called the "three week stall" Don't freak, your weight will come down after a while. At 2 1/2 weeks I had a 4 week stall. You are not eating enough to gain weight, so deep breath, things will be fine. Get your protein in, and sip sip sip. You need your water. Do not let yourself get dehydrated or you will have to go to the emergency room! It also makes you feel horrible. Logically you have to know you will not stay the same and stop losing forever. Come on girl! You will be fine!

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?

So I have been using fitday.com for years. Maybe 5 years. I just tried one day on myfitnesspal.com... to see how it would go and it is SOOOO much better than fitday, I can't tell you how much I love it! I know some of you guys have talked about using it, but I had no idea how much better it was. I can find the foods I eat by brand most of the time, and the economy of moves it takes to log is great... also a good iphone app as well. It is making it so much easier to log. It has actually made getting back on plan exciting again! Go figure.

I gotta give up gum too?

I gave it up, but now I can chew it again. Just give your tummy a chance to heal up and get back to normal.
  11. The best protein I tried is 4 Ever Fit brand. The fruit flavors are the best (Have not tried the milky flavvors...)The whey flavor is not strong, and they are not too sweet... the fruit tastes like fruit, not artificial. http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=4+ever+fit+protein&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=4+ever+fit+protein&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=u&rls=en&source=univ&tbm=shop&sa=X&ei=ClzoULK0NKTVigKWyYC4DA&ved=0CGkQsxg&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.cGE&fp=fb4c1bb5140e4871&bpcl=40096503&biw=1502&bih=869

    Hair Loss

I took all my vitamins and protein and still do. I do think it will grow back, but it is taking time. I also went through menopause around the same time, and this might have been a factor for me. I lost perhaps 30%of my hair... not in spots but all over, and have about half or more of that(just guessing here) coming back in at this point. I used to not have any short hairs around my face, and now have lots of them... a good thing, but can't wait till they grow long again! KEEP IN MIND this surgery will improve your health and looks a LOT. New hair cuts and a little product can go a long way towards your hair looking thicker. All those cute new cloths don't hurt ether!

    Hair Loss

I am at two years. I started losing my (very thick and waste length) hairaround 4 months. I STILL am losing more than before surgery. I had to cut off my hair as it was looking stringy. I now have short hairs growng in, and they are kind of finer texture than before. I plan on growing my hair out again if the texture normalizes. This being said, as proud as I used to be about my hair, its still worth it losing all that weight! I might even cut it REALLY short, like as long as the shortest hairs, and go from there. Might have to go BLUE or something! Its part of the adventure.
  14. Congrats! Things seem to be going great for you! I do have to say that having been on the forums for over 2 years, things have gotten a little negative some places. There were people with some really difficult recoveries on this site then, but they were always sooo positive and inspirational. It was almost like there was no down side to the surgery! I think people have to say what they say... and if they are having a rotten time, then say it if they want to! But its important to keep in perspective that this obesity thing will kill you early and make your life hell... and that is part of the calculated risk of NOT getting this surgery too. At two years I LOVE my sleeve, I have problems with keeping some of the weight off that I lost, but everything else is great, and I am so glad I got it!

I hate foods that i used to love!

Thats a big list! I can now eat anything I used to like (2 years out) but only lost my desire to eat a few foods early out...the list was never as long as yours... mostly sweet stuff...which now is just fine! (too bad!)
  16. All the ones I have tried have that whey flavor, sometimes I think they ad some vanilla or something to offset it, and that tastes yuck in soup....but if you look at it like medicine, then its not so bad... I use "Any Whey". I also dump a muscle milk light into my ice coffee and its great! 100 cals
  17. At two years, I can eat anything I used to like the taste of and like it the same... just eat less of it. The texture thing has stuck around a little... can't stand apple peels, never a problem before...

    I'll show you mine... (LBD's)

No need to go there! Get thee to the store!
  19. The stomach is swollen at first and can hold less. Grazing does allow one to eat a LOT more over time. I am a good example of the effects of this! I am now keeping track of meals and Snacks, and this is making a big difference. Even doing this, it is EASY for me to eat 1000-1400 cals a day. I can hit 2000 grazing. Not good! My stomach only holds about 3/4 cup of solid food... more if its Soup or sliders... In the morning a little less.

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?

Im just saying, what you are doing now is maintaining where you are at. If you want to continue what you are doing now, then you might just say you are in maintenance, and all is good. If you want to lose more, than experimentation might be in order. Im looking at the same kind of thing too, except I need to get back to maintenance level after .... trying to lose what I have gained... and find out what it takes to stay there. Best of luck! You have done so well.

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?

Im back. After a tour of eating through the holidays like the "good" old days. What they say about ice cream is true... So on this Jan 1st, Im back on the wagon. protein first, veggies and low GI carbs are the staples. And no drinking with meals...loging and weighing. Boo Hoo! I see what I eat has been a problem, but also, and perhaps even more, how often I eat. The sleeve works, but I have been grazing... so I am keeping track of how many times I eat a day. Im going for 3 small meals and three small snacks to start... then go down to two snacks. Happy Year all! And Coops, I would think that the way you have been eating IS maintenance for you at this point ... so just change the words and keep the action and you are good to go.

    Looking powerfull and great!

    Size Zero

You look so fantastic! You can rock a bare midriff too... Lucky girl! I would look at this... if you can wear a 0 and maintain health, then relax your fear... it might be keeping you from your goals.... Everyone is built differently.. I could never wear a 0 and be healthy... I would be lucky to get into an 8 and not have everyone say I am a bone rack! Others can look and feel fantastic in a 0. Also, watch out for vanity sizing, it can change from store to store and brand to brand. Keep and eye on how you feel... your labs, and all the other ways one can measure the ideal weight, not just a size.
