    Just measured my body fat this morning... 29.3....Thats in the ideal range for a 51yo, and I'm 60!..... I would still like to get it down a bit more... but happy face! Still want to lose around 5 or so pounds, all fat of course.

    Laura! Thats fantastic! I was the same today, which is good. There was a big party at school today, I did have some "snacks" but the damage is not to bad. Hey Laura, do I remember you saying you went Kayaking at Elkhorn Slough a while back? I am planning a kayak/birding trip in a couple of weeks and am thinking about Elkhorn as a possability... the other being Mono lake and surrounds....I'm buying a kayak tomorrow! I had better use it!

    I usually only use them on fast days, rarely others, the cost just adds up a little fast for my wallet! I think they might be good to make ice cream out of..... Looked up bolthouse, looks good! What ones do you use? If you stay at 211, averaged out with what I ate today, we both came in at around 500! .... cActually, I came in at 100 over my goal... Darned sweet tooth!

    I try not to go too far over a buck a serving... for pre-mixed these are pretty cheap. I like to throw them into my purse when I am going out of town or somewhere I may need a snack or some added Protein. I like them for coffee, because I don't find powders creamy enough without milk...which hikes up the cals and carbs.

  8. Welcome to the inner sanctum! You have done so well, I know those last pounds can really be a challange! I still have 5 pounds to goal after almost 3 years of working on it . We can do it!

    Fasting today too... alls well. Was at 174.5 AGAIN. Been there every day with a little bounce here and there for a week (seems like a month!) I sure would like to see a new number.... lower of course. 1 more pound would put me lower than I was at my lowest post WLS. So close!

    Yep. Thats the brand. I also sometimes drop in some other flavor extract to mix it up. peanut butter,or cocoanut are my faves right now...I usually put about half of it in an ice coffee for breakfast, then the other half for lunch on fast days... or you can put it into not-too-hot coffee as well.

    Jane, the 5:2 is supposed to help with repair in the body, so I would say do it if you can keep your mind wrapped around it!
  16. thats normal. Its from the IV and swelling. I think she was asking if you had gained weight much later in the process.... closer to goal....

    Way to go ladies! I missed my usual walk because i sat in PEE! A students. I had to go home to change and missed our walk! Hahaha! What a job!

    Went over by about 100.... sunflower seeds! Well, could have been worse. I need to pull it in if I want to get the last 5 pounds off!

    sometimes I get hiccups 4-5 times when Im full. Belching has to do with swallowing air doesn't it?...which is really easy with drinking water.

    It helps me to make a plan for the day. Even three days to help get through the time. I write down what Im going to eat, include things I can look forward to. When I have the urge to eat, I know I have a snack coming up, and that helps keep me on track. I plan deserts at the end of most days. SF pudding or whatever. It really keeps me from eating something else when I know I have a treat built into the day.

    Need advice from the vets on a mental stall

    ^^^^like they said!^^^^^^ TOUGH LOVE OK, you know what you did to gain weight, you know what you did to lose it. The sleeve makes it easier, but you still have to do the work. I would at least make sure you write everything down that you eat... and If you start living like you did when you were heavier, you will become that. One week is a small slip. I have been there. I have gained 22 pounds when I wasn't looking!(over months)...and believe me, you don't want to wake up one day and have that under your belt! (so to speak... ) You are at 4.5 months, and you are still in the honeymoon. After the honeymoon things get a little or a lot harder. To maintain for some of us, to get to goal, to lose the regain... This time is the easiest for most to lose the weight, so don't miss this window of opportunity. You feel better now because of all the things you have just given up. You have done really well so far, and its time to dig deep and figure out what you need to do to build a stronger foundation to support your new life. YOU CAN DO IT! Write yourself notes, keep a diary, use MFP, have a back up plan for the gym, put Vitamins and Water and Protein on a checklist on your mirror. Whatever works for you... don't forget to feel happy that you have to do these things.... they are adding quality and years to your life.

    I need help, feeling unsuccessful!

    The biggest and best benefit of the 5:2 is the life extension properties. Read up, it is pretty amazing! Weight loss is way down there on the list... as attractive as it is.
