Coops! 7 pounds... You can sooo do this! You are so close! a 10 would be just FINE wouldn't it!? Inches are so much better than pounds, I know we are stuck on the scale, but how you look is where its at...(and how you feel of course!) -
Two years out, happy, but not quite at goal with question

That sounds like so much fun and adventure! I haven't spent much time on a horse. Just a ride here and there... No doubt the horses thought I was stupid too! It was really fun. I had a boyfriend in HIghschool that was a "cowboy". He rode broncs in Rodeos. Quite a wild boy. -

I have a little chocolate almost every night. The only sugar I eat at home (mostly). A tablespoon of 60% chips. Sometimes with walnuts, sometimes peanutbutter ( replaces reeses) or sometimes on warm SF pudding. I'm such a desert hound. I have to stay away from the "real" deserts most of the time, or Oh Oh.... its over. I'm an addict if I go over a certain amount a few days in a row. But I walk the fine line! -

I do about 1200-1400 depending on exercise on feast days, 500-550 on fast days. -

One day at a time. Sounds very healthy! You can do it. -
I just joined the she-woman men hater club because your husband gets to go to Tahoe!

Glad your back girl. Can you get greens at the local markets? I am growing kale, collards and beets for my winter green consumption. The whole gut microb topic is so interesting, science is starting to think the gut microbe/ intestinal tract IS our immune system. Got to keep the microbes happy! Probiotics are mostly there to feed the dairy microbes, so the flax seeds and other fibers are good to feed other microbes. (My understanding...)

Its an eating style (that includes a couple of semi-fasting days a week) that a few of us Vets who have ether not lost all the weight, or had regain are using to lose the last few pounds and then maintain after that. Its not really recommended for those who are early out or are just slow losers. If you have not lost your weight by a year or so, come see us and see how it worked out for us! We are happy to fill in anyone in that position.

Just get back on the wagon I would say. Sorry about the job, but Yay about you going after it! -
I wouldn't say I use my Cuisanart Ice a lot, but I do like it when I do. I know the rate of loss is different for everyone, but 5 a month at 8 months seems pretty good to me as long as you can keep it up for the long haul! Are you doing what you need to do? Protein first, Water, exercise? My weight loss slowed around 8 months as well. Not uncommon. I will not have lost 100% EWL until around the 3 year mark, and I only had 90 pounds to lose. Figure the math on that one! (2.5 pounds a month) I am very happy with it though... 100% is 100% whenever it happens. I know I must seem kind of lax on all this, I might have been able to power my weight loss faster, but after many earlier attempts, I just know I needed to find a way that I could continue into the far future and not just dump it because I hated it. I eat everything in moderation, and now follow the 5:2, which is working for me.

I need help, feeling unsuccessful!

I have a copy of that but still need to implement! -
Its worth a try! Don't know how creamy it would be, but I bet it would taste good! You could serve your spoonful of granola under, as the "crust"
-
Good for you Brown! You can do it, Just step right back in!
-
How about draining a serving of Fage 0% plane, mix with 1/4 cup egg beaters or egg whites, some stevia, vanilla, and your blueberries, and bake! Eat warm.
-
No, I have my own recipe(not protein...), but I bet its good!

Welcome Catracks, the Vets forums rock. Yes, the 5:2 worked for me when nothing else would. I had gained 22 pounds last year, and couldn't get it off until I started the 5:2 in June, I am now 4 pounds from goal, and think that using the 5:2 or 6:2 will be just right for maintinance. Do read up! Best of luck. -

Sprinkle on your yogurt and blueberries. Measure and post in MFP. Your little gut microbes will thank you for it! Thats not a fart, its a million microbes all shouting "I love you!!!" -

2 weeks before plastics...evolving attitude about excess skin

Holy cow Butter! That is amazing! -
She has tons of great recipes for goodies. I know some people stay away from any treat like food, but me, I've got to have them in my plans, or I go a little crazy. It works for me. I make little mug cakes now and then, out of super good ingredients, and sugar free. It really keeps my sweet tooth in line, and the scales heading in the right direction. I even bought an ice cream maker to make protein ice cream.

Where do I stop...goal weight related....
feedyoureye replied to lilbearzmom's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
Wow, thats harsh. There are lots of reasons people feel threatened or concerned when what they think they know changes. Being rude and insulting is not acceptable. Perhaps practice a response if it should happen again sometime... hopefully it won't! When I first lost weight, some people asked me if I was OK, not sick... I felt they were really concerned... once I said I was losing weight for my health, and my health was much improved, they dropped it and that was the end. At some point, no one will even notice. -

You do seem like you are in a good head space for it. No need to hate your skin, it helps keep your insides in! But saying good-by to part of it is also good in this case. Can it be donated to science? (just a thought....)
