OK, to get the lapband designation changed, go to myprofile, edit my profile, then to patient data, then check surgery type from the pull down menu, then save changes. That should do it. -
Mornin! I have just realized that my many lifestyle changes (exercise, cooking and nature/birdwatching walks/kayaking...time on Berrie-PALS ...) have reduced/eliminated other things I used to do that are important to me! I'm not sure I have time in the day to do it all... am trying to figure out how to balance it all.... its driving me a little crazy! I realized I was feeling a little helpless and inept... and did a little self search to try and figure out where it was coming from, and I am just too damn busy... am overwhelmed, and stuff is dropping out that is important to me. Anyone else experiencing this?

Holy cow Miss!!! an 8 1/2 pound jump? That is a hard one to live with! I would say that could only be water weight or a broken scale! What was your weight the day before the 137.2? A few days ago I caught a peek of my goal weight... then it bounced back up and I am still seeing a higher number... but it is slowly going back down. It jumped around 2 pounds for no good reason. Just remember the scale is a tool and does not reflect who we are as people... but sometimes they get glitchy and don't do a very good job of weighing us.... is there another scale around you can check your scales accuracy with? The docs? Or keep a tape measure handy, and see what that says....

Anyone do great with the band and not the sleeve ?
feedyoureye replied to Band07's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Measure your loss month by month, try not to sweat the daily/weekly... there is no way you can hang on to the weight forever if you stay on track! If your bmi is low, if you are around your tom, if you are stressed, or eating lots of salty stuff, you know, those can slow loss temporarily. When you get closer to goal, that is something different, and tweaks may have to be made. How fast you lose is up to your body, not you... all you can do is stay on plan! -
... I started in the lap band section, but I went to update my patient profile and selected Sleeve and I think that will help.... I will try that too!

If you go to your edit profile, then to the signature option, you will see the link on your signature, cut the one there and do an add of your preferred pic, thats what I did, I had a "hitchhiker " on mine too... laura linked to your pic on her post above so you can see what it looks like.... http://www.bariatricpal.com/gallery/image/7957-just-hangin-out-this-past-summer/ here it is.... and yes, I agree, I kind of did a mini panic when I thought I might have lost you girls! -

I am not having the problem of getting to all the pages in a post. Just plane freaky! Congrats on your 140's dear!.... just in case you can get this! -
HI guys! I am visiting from the VST side of things. (sleeve talk) I think there are some "haters" for sure, but you have to keep in mind that the only banders that visit the sleeve section, are those with horror stories, that are looking into revising to the sleeve, or have already done so. I doubt most really "hate" those that get the band, but fear for the results that we mostly hear about, or the idea of having a foreign body inside, and continuing visits to the doc. Like you said, not all surgeries fit all people! Being hateful is never good form. For heavens sakes! I had 85 percent of my stomach removed! Who am I to blast anyone trying to get healthy! I am very happy at 3 years out, just got to goal... went through a regain at one point (of 22 pounds) but thats back off and all is well. I think if you have seen the stats, and can live with the possible complications and rules, then more power to you whatever choice you make!

OK Marty is gone and my pic is back. I went to the edit profile/ signature function and replaced her. The ticker on the other hand, is still MIA. Laura, you have a blue question mark thing on yours, is this perhaps the pic you are talking about?

Hot Mess! I can't even imagine having to sort this all out. I'm feeling for you Alex and Susan! I have to admit, I feel a little like I'm living in a disaster zone while here... Someone send in the emergency dogs to sniff out the lost VSTers! I will be handing out Water and blankets in the how was your 5:2 day thread later... I'm going in..... to try and liberate Marty 7 from my signature line.....

Is it bad to think of selling your child for a tortilla chip?
feedyoureye replied to DangerousD's topic in Rants & Raves
I didn't have an extended pre-op diet, except to write everything down for two weeks(to show I could do it), and two days of liquids for the liver before surgery.
