Scary! Best of luck with that.. fingers crossed for you! Craig is a big guy... he comes from Scottland's most famous Mercenary clan! Their motto is "Conquer or Die!" And thats about right! No beard at this point, but I keep trying to get him to grow one out again... its gray now, and he hates that. He has feet like Fred Flintstone.... he didn't wear shoes for the first 12 years of his life! hahaha! I make dry points, engravings and etchings.... if you want to copy oil paintings, that is another thing.... making good quality digital copies. I have pains behind my ribs some times, it probably is a stricture I was told. Its not bad, just showing up when I sit slouching for a long time... -

I have never used a chat room.... I love you all, and would like to meet you some time... I have a crazy repulsion to making phone calls... (?!) and feel a little bit like that about chat rooms....don't know why.... when I end up on a forum page like this, at the same time as someone else, and we comment back and forth.. I don't mind it at all... so don't know why a chat room would be any different.... -

I think wanting to be loved is a catch 22... When you already love life, accept yourself and act from wisdom based trust and have found happiness, then you are a magnate for loves attention. Healthy lovers. When you are filled with doubt, mistrust, self hate, and fear of failing... then you attract unhealthy lovers and friends that will end in your worst fears. What can we do to become more healthy ourselves, so we might enjoy our lives with or without "the man"? My list? -Do for others (I try to use my skills to improve the life of others...not to make them owe me, or like me better...) -exercise ( in a way that is enjoyable to me... not just for physical results, but for self expression results in my case... Dance, walking in nature, kayaking....)- things I can do alone, but often end up doing with someone else. People always ask if they can go with me... I am often a loner, but I end up getting out with others more now... -make art and make some effort to share it (teaching, showing....) -learn something new that I can immerse myself in... birdwatching, genealogy were my latest go tos.. -meditation. Can soften the mind without losing the ability to focus. There are great "attachment" meditations out there... it is after all considered a sign of ignorance in Buddhism... Attachment has caused me most of my suffering. It still does, but softening its grip, pealing away its hindrance to happiness is a help. -Even if you are not thinking about doing yourself harm, you are depressed. No Fun. Get help. At some points, we may not be able to think our selves out of this pit.... no mater how smart we are. These are things I have done, and continue to do when I remember too... that have helped me...your list may be completely different... -

Don't forget, your worth is not based on your size, your marital status or income. Not your REAL worth. You are the first person to strike down anyone who would judge solely on superficial qualities (or quantities!) Please be as kind to yourself. Find out who you really are if you don't already know! Maybe investing time in those personal qualities will bring you up again. -

Sounds like a fun time with Dan. I have dated a number of musicians, and the club scene can be fun, lots of dancing and back stage access. Sorry about the stress! Waiting for health results are so stressful.... My stress is really so much better after starting the Citalopram... really like it. I just had to change my medical plan, and will have to change all my doctors and such... do not like that, but will make the best of it.... the monthly charge is lower than before, I like that... Best of luck with the diagnosis on the breast swelling... sending positive vibes.... -

Sheryl, I make a lot of activities last minute too... I decide I want to cook, and good luck finding someone to join me, but sometimes they do, and its fun. I don't mind going out by myself, When hubby is away, or is not in the mood, I go by myself to eat, or take a walk in nature or something. It a good time to think and relax. No one to please but myself. I occasionally feel sorry for myself if I really want company, but not that often. -

WTH? All these different post op diets after sleeve! Ughhh
feedyoureye replied to daveintx's topic in Rants & Raves
I heard that in Europe many Docs say go back to regular foods right away. Let your stomach be your guide. I think sometimes the strictness of early diets are more to get us used to having to control what goes in the pie hole. Later on, when its east to eat anything, having the strength and experience of moderation may help to pull us through the temptation to free form it. -

I was just reading about the ketosis diet, and they say too much protein can kick you out of ketosis... make up the difference with fat.
