    Pumpkin Custard

Splenda or Stevia would work. I bake with Splenda all the time and it works fine where ever you don't need browning.

    GNC vitiams

    Isopure? Chewable or gummy calcium?
  4. I am starting to get a cold...sore throat....My surgery isnt till January 18th, but It still worries me. I am getting on a 13 hour plane ride in a week and REALLY don't want to be coughing and miserable... perhaps I'll try the Zicam..... I have been making this jelly concoction made with a sugar free metamuciel mixed into the emergenC. I mix it, then let it sit for about 10 minutes before I eat it with a spoon. Its kind of yummy and full of fiber and C. Trying to kill two birds with one stone.

    Let the Journey Begin

Welcome Bayu. I have a similar story, but Im 57. Many people here have been able to lose all of their weight at times, then gain it back. I, like you, maxed out at 35-40 lbs and then just stalled until I started to go up again, for me very slowly. I have kept some of my good habits, but getting older and starting to take meds for co-morbities... those good habits just weren't enough to keep me at even my highest weight.... That and the co-morbities themselves were the reasons I started looking into surgery. I will get my surgery in January, and am so happy about it! Keep letting us know how you are doing girl! Some very friendly people here for you.
  8. thanks for that link, fun! I have been wrapping my hair around a "Bumpit". It now blends into my hair better, and I can pin it through the hair to make it stay in better. http://www.bighappiehair.com/ turn down your sound when you check out this link, its way to happy and loud!

    Constipation

Im pre op and have changed my eating style somewhat.. and now I have constipation too! I hate it! So I have been adding a sugar free metamusel like product, making sure I drink enought water. Its getting a little better, but not 100% yet. My Doc said that iron and vit D can give you constipation too.. I have been taking those, so maybe thats part of it....our poor bums!

    Back with continued success

Congratulations Bob! Thanks for checking in. Is good for us new folks to see how it goes... and Im sure your old pals here and glad to see you too. Don't be a stranger.
  14. This is just a thought from someone who has not had this problem (yet...) You know how almost everyone who gets the sleeve needs to really concentrate in the beginning on getting in their 64oz of water and 60-80 grams of protein? Perhaps you need to concentrate just like that again... fitting in your ozs of protein drink, food and water every 15 minutes until you have had what you need to achieve optimum health. You really need your medicine right now. Food and nutrition is the medicine you need for your life. Do you still take a PPI? If so, perhaps going off would help your appetite... is your appetite even the problem? If so, perhaps medical marijuana might help... just a thought....Best of luck solving this very unlikely problem... who would have thought!? I hope I don't sound stupid here... I'm sure you have tried many things already.
  15. I hope so! I am going on vacation for three weeks in New Zealand with Christmas at the mom in laws...If I can make it through that then I think I am home free! Then 18 days till the surgery..Thanks, K

    Too much exercise?

xbox Kinect looks like so much fun! The zumba and the dance programs appeal to me... I think just keep it healthy, eat enough Protein, drink extra Water and keep some healthy carbs... your body is probably making muscle and trying to figure what the heck you are doing to it. Keep the good feelings coming and Im sure your body will get into the groove on the scale/tape measure soon!
  17. I don't have my sleeve yet, but I have to keep my weight the same until then. My family went out to dinner at a place you can have seconds. I ordered off the regular menu so that was not an option, I had a salad, and 5 raviolis. I skipped drinks and desert. I felt like a saint.... and no leftovers at home. I lost 1 lb. Hurray!

  19. People used to keep their hair in a "hair saver". Then they would make a "rat" out of it and use it to plump up buns or on top to boof their hair up. I think I might try this when the hair starts falling out. At least I might get a big old bun plumper out of it!

    Cross addiction post op?

My gym offers a bellydance class twice a week, I have been taking that for 2 1/2 years and know I will get back to that after I am physically able... I am thinking of learning some new things offered at the gym too, kick boxing or pilates ..yoga... I paint, and am trying to gear up for LOTS of studio time. I also like computer games, and spend lots of time on them, but am trying to do more productive activities that I like instead. I would like to get back into meditation after quiting for the last 5 years...that helps my mood and outlook lots when I am doing it regularly.
  22. Ask him if he really prefers that you die early and suffer more during your life with disease than get the surgery and lose the weight? Is this what LOVE really looks like? Sugar attracts more flys than vinegar. Tell him to get nice and supportive and you will NEVER leave him, skinny and hot or not. Resentment, fear and illness do not make for a longer lasting and better quality relationship! I don't mind if my husband plays 'devils advocate' and runs me through the what ifs of the surgery... Its good to think twice about doing something so permanent. But in the end he has said he will support my decision... I am lucky there. Sorry you are having to go through this.
  23. You can mix some protein drink powder into your FF/SF instant pudding mix too to boost the Protein and change the flavor too if you want. Mix it in the milk then follow directions for the pudding. I found if you let it set for a while the texture is better. If you are still on liquids you might want to add just a little extra milk so its not too thick.

    Clothing

I bought a super cute not TOO expensive belt that I can barely get into. I had to put a new hole at the very end to squeeze it on. I LOVE it and plan on wearing it as long as I can through the process. I got it at Target for around $17. I will also take little V-tucks in the back of my pants until they look too ugly to wear. I went through my closet pre surgery to sort out cloths into sizes. I already gave a bunch away that I will not fit when the right season rolls around again... then I made a bag of cloths I love that are too small now and will be in the right season while I am losing... I will have to do this again later Im sure and give a bunch more away. I also have my own personal vintage "thrift store" to shop at... I have saved some of my favorite vintage cloths from when I was MUCH smaller around 30 years ago. They are in storage. I will 'shop' there after I loose weight just for fun and see if anything fits and looks any good. The 80's fashions are back so you never know!
