Don't be shy about the coordination thing, improved coordination is a great thing to work on too! Wouldn't it be great to be the cousin that CAN can dance at the wedding? I have been taking dance lessons for 2 1/2 years, and my coordination is MUCH better!

Usually its a BMI of 40 or between 35-40 with co morbidities like diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or triglicerides... there are charts on the internet you can check what you are at...

Many people on here have lost that much and more. I believe you have dodged a bullet by being recommended the VSG over the RNY. Search here for more information, there is lots of posts talking about why this is so.

Take a little time to make a list of your points. Longevity, quality of life, avoidance of future health problems,excellent outcomes of the Dr you are using, etc.When you talk to them you can use it in case you are tongue tied...

Have you talked to your surgeon about it? He might have more information for you.... Just curious, do you feel like you followed his/her directions? What makes you think a lot of your stomach was left? I know that the statistics say you might lose 50% of your overweight with this surgery.... but many seem to lose more... Thanks for any information, you help others with your insight... Have you tried the 5 day pouch test? Good luck with your journey.

I found some green bean casserole baby food for when I can eat purees....My nut recommended baby food.

I was going to ask the same thing... I sure liked it MUCH better.

My husband is a Kiwi, and I am in New Zealand (Tutukaka coast) right now. I have been talking to two friends here who are thinking about getting the sleeve, they are probably lurking here too.... One is seeing Dr Baker (I think that is his name) and just needs to save up some money before getting it....I have told them that you are on the board if they want to ask any questions to someone from NZ.

I believe its to reduce the chances of getting an ulcer on the staple line, and curbing the acid reflux that some get after the sleeve... also Tif says it reduces hunger sensations caused by acid.

I don't know you, except for what you say in your posts...or really what you look like except for your face, but I think you are "hot" because you are thoughtful and smart. I'm sure your girlfriend gives you nice comments doesn't she? I think if you employ some kind of self suggestion techniques...perhaps hypnosis or using a short mantra of some kind..."I know am hot and others find me attractive" :^) or something like this, you will be able to start seeing yourself for the attractive guy you are. Make up your own meditation routine, perhaps before you go to bed or when you get up in the morning.. or when looking at yourself in the mirror while brushing your teeth. "I know am hot and others find me attractive" "I know am hot and others find me attractive" "I know am hot and others find me attractive" ....before you know it... you WILL believe it and so will others. So much of attractiveness is confidence. Looking healthy is just the cherry on top!

However, this greater efficacy has been disputed, with some claiming it offers no benefit from its older form.

Me too, I hear about some folks becoming sensitive to eggs or milk.... I hope this does not happen to me...or any of us.... I think it will be ok, but I will be trying to get more protein in than I ever was before....

Tiff, I hear a lot about the "stretchy tissue" being removed during VSG, and not during RNY, but is there medical studies out there that reinforce this idea that there is stretchy tissue and not so stretchy tissue? Thanks for anything you might have in your bag of tricks/links that discuss this...

I would try a small amount of sugar alcahols before investing in a whole box of something containing it... it makes me feel awful, gas, bloating and pain. Some have no problem at all.

Im not there yet so I cant tell you, but I am soooo sorry this is happening to you! Sounds very uncomfortable, hope you heal out of it soon...
