I have tried a few of these and they can be really good. Im not a fan of spaghetti squash, and find that radishes work pretty well for the hash browns, just dry them really well first. YOu can use zuccini or eggplant for the pizza crust too... bake first until a little dry...then add other ingredients.

Went for my Pre op today- 1st I ever heard of a catheter being used
feedyoureye replied to warrior68's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told I was getting a catheter at the last minute. They put it in when you are out, and I could hardly feel it when it was in. When they took it out I could hardly feel it. They want to measure liquid in and liquid out. It was not horrible at all.I would not consider it any kind of a dear breaker. -

http://www.elements4health.com/new-information-on-proteins-that-regulate-body-temperature-metabolism-and-weight-gain.html This is an very interesting study! Removal of the ghrelin receptors might be better than just reducing ghrelin for losing weight....

8 months out - AND NO RESTRICTION
feedyoureye replied to texaschick's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My doc told me that 32-38 are all on the small end, and the size does not make that much difference. How we use it makes all the difference. He said the bougie (sp?) is just a guide for the staples and the final sleeve can end up loose or tighter with overstitching.... don't get hung up in the bougie size. His opinion is people who get hung upon the bougie are just looking for an excuse for not doing the other work that needs to be done...that the sleeve is never going to do all the work needed no mater what size it is. I don't know if I entirely agree, but he is the expert. -

A battle of wills with the little stomach! There is no way you can stay the same weight forever eating so little, it will come off, hang in there. -
I put the phone by where ever I was landed. Nothing like having to get up and down to answer the phone the first couple of days!

Only 28 pounds in three weeks? I wonder if I made the right decision? Are you kidding? Get a grip, that is FANTASTIC. Have you ever lost that much weight doing anything else? The last time I was on weight watchers it took me two years to lose 25 pounds..... -
I always suspected I would have to remove my brain to really lose my hunger....
