I wasn't even allowed eggs for 5 weeks.... take care, the time will fly by and you will be able to eat almost anything. Just hang in there. -
Day 17. This is why your baby hates you.

I tried the prunes... kind of watery, but not horrible by any means. With yogurt? Probably would be pretty good. I found some "green bean casserole" baby food. Don't bother. It was green.... thats about how far the resemblance went. -
Fun with my old jeans :)

Clever pharmacists! I would sprinkle the fairy dust on apple sauce, and swallow the cap. That should at least make it a little easier to get down. I get a chewable prescribed, but the Omeprazole I got OTC before surgery was a tiny pill and prob easy to swallow. You could probably get advice from your local pharmacist for free. -

feedyoureye replied to italianmama41's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Totally normal. You are not doing anything wrong. Hang in there, live your life, follow the directions, and you will lose. Patients is a virtue! -
I am following a sort of South Beach diet style, low glycemic index rather than strictly low carb.Im a lactose intolerant lacto/ovo vegetarian, so low carb is pretty hard to follow.

Well girl, I recognize many of those faces... and all of them were super nice, encouraging and upbeat in the face of stalls and other uncomfortable topics. Congratulations and keep up the good work! -
How is this possible
feedyoureye replied to dimples509's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Perhaps she thinks that what she is eating today is the same as before surgery, but is mistaken about the reality of how much she was eating before... Was she keeping off the weight or gaining? -
Day 16. Navel gazing

I saw one of these at Rite-Aid the other day. I was drawn to it like a new flavor of Ben and Jerrys... and then I remembered... I'm sleeved! I don't need that piece of plastic crap! I'm so happy with my sleeve... you will be soon enough too. I hope you are just as funny when you are SOOOO skinny and happy... And you remember the 'little people' after you get so famous you are on David Letterman talking about how you used to be fat, and how you won Americas Top Model after all that friggen work, and how you got a one person show at the Guggenheim with your "mesmerizing and transformative" mandalas. -
I'm from Sacramento, and around here thats what people say his height is..(actually 5'10") The scoop here is he wears lifts in his shoes (but is still no where 6'2'. Could just be a Governator rumor, but thats what I hear here... Here is a board that discusses it... http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/archive/index.php/t-328222.html According to this (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/campaigns/wh2000/stories/tall080399.htm), the governator is only 5-10. Which shocked the heck out of me, as I'd never heard it before. I'd always assumed the standard schlock was true; that is, he's 6 foot 1(inches)+ a little bit more for good measure. I always thought it'd be pretty pointless for him to lie, since most of his competitors from his bodybuilding days would surely know the truth anyway. I mean he looked real tall next to the other competitors anyhow (yeah I know most pro-bodybuilders are short-asses, but still). And I've seen a docu which showed one of his tailors (some Italian dude who does suits for "Stalloni"), and he showed a pair of Arnie's trousers. His legs appeared to be very long, which indicates to me that he's 6 foot over - however I'm crap at judging distances so maybe it was an illusion. On top of which, let's face it, the guys built like a small horse. Maybe it distorts the exact picture of how long his legs are. Many pro-builders seem taller than they really are - just cause they're so huge. Then I found this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Schwarzenegger) which only adds fuel to the speculation. While Arnold Schwarzenegger's height was always believed to be 6 feet, 2 inches (1.88 m), a July 2002 article in US Weekly magazine speculated that Schwarzenegger was actually closer to 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m). During his campaign for governorship it was noted that Schwarzenegger was considerably shorter than many expected, with others putting his height at around 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), exactly as reported in US Weekly. His spokespeople now give his height as 6 ft even (1.83 m). In photographs of Schwarzenegger standing next to George W. Bush in Ohio in October 2004, the Governor is one inch shorter than the 5 ft 11 in President. So, what's the truth here?

hahaha!

....I think Arnold is around 5'9"(really!)..... He just makes you think his is 6'2".... so much of it is in the attitude!

TMI ALLERT!!! I posted somewhere else...my butt has a double chin! The fat is almost gone and the skin is still working at tightening up (I hope) and has made a (not) lovely little double chin hanging at the 'bottom'. I do glut exercises, and will continue to do so... but its not enough yet....))

Weight GAIN this week!!!!
feedyoureye replied to VSGandMe2011 (DisneyMomma)'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you guys are somewhere in the normal range. Don't freak. It will come off, just keep up the good work, and do measure yourself too... the old body will change even if the scale does not. I gained weight some weeks, and lost others. Sometimes a little and some time a little more... at 12 weeks I have lost half of the weight I want to lose ( if you count the 10 lbs I lost before surgery) and I thought I was losing slow... but really... its not slow at all! You will be fine. -
5 months out and finally not hungry

I hope this happens to me! -
Well today is my 12 week surgeversary, and I am at the half way point to goal. (Including the 10 pounds I lost before surgery) I have gone from a 22 pant to a 15. My butt has a double chin, but Ill take it. Less junk in the trunk for sure. Like the husband says,"wouldn't you know it that the boobs and butt go first!" I have had a mens shirt sitting on my dresser for YEARS. Its this very cool white Mexican lace shirt, that I could never get into... I figured, some day I will meet a cool small guy, who will really love this shirt.... will rock this shirt, and I will give it to him. Well too late, it fits ME now. I will rock it until it is too large for me then give it away. My labs are good, I am waiting for my cardiologist meeting to see if I can get off the statins. I have started taking Tango lessons, and the first guy I danced with told me i was a beautiful woman. This is just the beginning... its only been 3 months! Im loving my sleeve......not original, but true.
