I had the gas pain for like 6 wks. It will get better. I hiccups are due to dehydration, (I read that online). Just try sipping, sipping, sipping. This will pass and you will be just fine. Right after surgery was my hardest time. Just remember that everyone is different so this is a great resource. About the scale.... Some people say its the enemy, LOL. If you know you aren't eating or drinking high calorie drinks then your Dr is right. I am 10 months post op and I have lost almost 130 lbs. After this hard part passes just stick to a low carb diet and the weight will fall off! The best is yet to come. Take it easy!!!

You aren't the only one. I actually just told my Dr yesterday that I still see myself as fat because the majority of my life I have been fat. I try trying on sexy thingsthat make me feel better and looking in the mirror alot. I also continue to look @ my before picture. I also told my husband about this struggle and asked him to remind me how damn good I look, LOL!!! This is a great site because we are all going through them same things. You keep @ that weight loss and hold your head up. Just think about how much better you feel about yourself. It felt amazing for me tolday to buy a 2pc bathing suit and actually look good. I wish you well!!

I hear Amy. I am 10 months post op and I say almost eeryday that this is still a struggle. I have a huge weakness for ice cream so I have to take it one day at a time. If I stick the the low carbs I do great! I have lost almost 130 lbs. I try to ride my bike about 20 miles each day. You are so right about the life style change. This band is only a tool but can really be abused if the person isn't ready for the change. I know a few people that have started to gain weight back. I can't say that I will never be right back where I was but I sure am going to try to stay strong. I wish you well.

I have loss 126

My name is Carla and I was banded 7/3/10. I have lost 127lbs. I am now in the 150's and it seems to be a struggle everyday. I know where my comfort is and I now know how to play the "food game". I am sooooo glad the the carbs get stuck or I may actually gain back every ounce that I have lost. I tried to sneak a doughnut hole tonight and I have paid for it in the bathroom for the last 2 hours. The thing about Lap Band is that no 2 people are alike. Some may not have a problem eating potatoes while with me.... They get stuck everytime. This is honestly the best decision that I have ever made but it will always be a struggle. Food has controlled my life for so long that I have to train myself to not let it continue to control me.

The weight loss has been about the same over the last few months, 5-10 lbs. It was alot faster in the beginning. You may need to go back to the Dr and have him back off on the fill. You don't want to make yourself sick.
