Hello Nancy I saw Dr. Philip Schauer at the Cleveland Clinic. My surgery was high risk due to the myasthenia gravis. It cost $34,000 US. Normally the surgery is $21,000 US. That includes all tests, post-op and meds while in the hospital. They due weekly telephone followups with you. Thanks, Samantha -

Pre-op trip to Toronto was $500. Surgery in Clevelend was $1200. I have myasthenia gravis so I had to go to a high risk centre. I had to stay in hospital four days and in Cleveland for another four days. So I paid for eight nights in a hotel for my husband. -

I had a nine hour car ride. My doctor prescribed a pain patch and it helped. I kept the seat reclined a little and rested my arms on my belly. Ask for assistance when transferring or necessary. -
The regular size blood pressure cuff fits! I'm three weeks out and down 24 pounds.
