Dimple/hole/dip Incision On Stomach
Shemy-away replied to pinky62611's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same thing and I believe I have a pic of it in my gallery. It has gone down considerably as I've lost fat from my stomach (but you can still see it if I lean forward at just the right angle) It's one of my battle scars so if it doesn't go away completely, I'll still be proud of it -
Congratulations!! I can't wait to watch the pounds drop through your blog

I never thought about trying cereal. Good idea!

The first week or so will be gassy. It's completely normal. Have you been walking? That helps get some of that gas out.

Day 2 In Hospital, Starting To Worry
Shemy-away replied to Mab's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes they would have to give you TPN or Total Parenteral Nutrition through your IV. They would probably tell you to keep trying to tolerate liquids until your stomach decides to cooperate. I'm so sorry you're going through these issues. Stay encouraged and I will be praying for you. -
Nsv - I Got A Job! Multiple Offers!
Shemy-away replied to SKCUNNINGHAM's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations to you! What a great NSV! -
I had my GB out one week ago 6 weeks after my sleeve. The pain is not nearly as bad as the sleeve and I only needed my pain meds for 2 days. I've read stats that up to 4 years out, up to 80% of sleeve patients need their GB out, so yes its very common. do you plan to have yours out?

Hello! My words of encouragement are: It really does get better Hang in there and folllow your surgeons rules as close as possible. Don't too down on yourself if you can't get all of your fluids or protein in. I'm about 2 months out and some days I miss my goals. This is a lifetime change and you won't get the routine down your first few weeks out. I hope that helped and I hope it gets better. We are here when you need us.

I'm gonna chime in due to a recent gallbladder situation. I had constant nausea and my pain was toward the middle as well, but it radiated. When I had my first gallbladder attack, I just felt off. Nothing specific. I thought I had ate something I shouldn't have. I had stones before my surgery and it got worse after. I went to the ER and eventually I ended up having a second surgery 6 weeks after the sleeve. Please get checked and an ultrasound to make sure the stones haven't moved or increased in number. GL to you!

Congratulations Jeni!! I understand exactly how you feel about eating. Sometimes I wish I could just take a pill 3 times a day and get all the nutrition I need. Thank you! I'm relearning my body, but the weight is starting to come off, so I suppose I'm doing something right. Congrats on getting down to your other closet!! Way to go! We have similar goals. I want to lose another 20 before my sisters graduation in June. When is your birthday? Stay motivated!

Hunger After Gallbladder Removal
Shemy-away replied to Shemy-away's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It may be gas and I've tried gas x strips to no avail. I thought about increasing my nexium to twice a day to see if it helps. Thanks for the input! Sent from my iPhone using VST -

Help Not Loosing Anymore
Shemy-away replied to patkaye's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love the comparison to lifetime stall. I will have to add that to my inner dialouge when I'm upset over my stalls. Don't let the naysayers belittle your progress. They couldn't lose 20 pounds in a month but you did! Patkaye- I can't say anything other than what has already been said. Patience is key. Don't be discouraged and continue doing what you know you should. Your body will catch up to your brain -

Sleeved And Thrilled!
Shemy-away replied to BridalMama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
congratulations and welcome to the loser's bench! It's such an emotional journey and I have good and bad days, but I wouldn't change it for the world!! -
Thanks Mrs. Riene!! I'm happy to hear that you are healing well! I've been using the ScarGuardMD and before my last surgery, it really helped with reducing the scaring. The good thing is she reused some of my incisions from the sleeve and went throught my belly button. the Upside is I finally have an inny (belly button)! I admire your will power to only weigh monthly. I'm having a hard time trying to go every two days!! Keep us posted on your progress.
