Cursive Style Text In Pink / Purple
Shemy-away replied to baydawg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont find this hard to read, I don't think red is an issue. Its the cursive fonts that are hard and then to add bright colors on top leads to an immediate pass over. -

I don't know what it is and it only shows when I stand, never when I'm laying flat. I hope it goes away -

Congratulations!!! I'm only 9dpo, but the best advice I can give is walk walk walk as soon as possible!! Also sip as much as possible. During your first week, don't focus so much on your Protein intake, just try to get in as much fluids as you can. Take it easy and remember to use a small pillow to splint your stomach when coughing or rising up from a sitting or laying position. 4 more days!!! -

Congratulations!!! Credit Unions are so much better than other banks in my eyes! -
I'm not at the point where I can eat things like this yet, but Like the previous posters said, I think the sugar is not an issue due to the small amount that you are eating. Unless you are having hyperglycemic symptoms right after eating, I don't know if you should worry about it.

Cooking And Bad Habits Creeping Back.

I agree! Way to go for recognizing and making the effort to change!! -
Yea I think I need a verbal spanking. I didn't quite sabatage my weight loss, but I went too long without getting my protein in today trying to meet a presentation deadline for school and I ended up advancing my diet without my surgeons permission. Yes I know. Terrible. I had a small cup of tomato basil soup strained and I ate it over an hour. I'm a horrible, horrible person... Now here is the kicker. Not only did I feel horrible for doing this without permission, but it made me question if my restriction is where it should be. I can drink a can of broth over 30 min to an hour. I'm back to taking regular sips of drinks, except in the morining when I first wake. I don't get that full, i'm going to explode feeling unless I drink way too fast or take too many pills at once. Is this normal to be able to get down 8 ounces of soup or broth and not feel like i'm gonna puke? I know what you're saying, "Rhap, if you had just left the soup alone, you wouldn't be here now obsessing over the size of your sleeve". Yes, you're right, but humor me. I have to make mistakes to learn right? My hubby said it may be b/c the surgeon used a 34 instead of 32 like most people on here have, but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference this early out. Please give my my verbal lashing. I deserve it, I know I do. And I promise it won't happen again. I'm trying to be a good example and follow the rules but the old brain took over today. and that is definitely something I'm going to have to work on. you are absolutely right: Fail to plan, plan to fail. Thank you for your words of encouragement and reassurance! I have to remember this IS a learning process and it will get better

You are definitely right about the all or nothing thinking. That is something I need to work on. I tend to be really hard on myself. Its REALLY reassuring that you can drink as much as I can. I was really scared that I had messed something up along the way. I guess I read too many horror stories in the post op forum that I mentally prepared myself just in case my surgery went the same way. I'm still learning my body. This surgery is like going through puberty all over again. I'm going to sit back, have patience, and embrace it.

Years Of Overweight=No Fashion Sense For Me
Shemy-away posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey sleevers! I was sleeved 3/6 but I'm such an optimistic person that I'm starting to plan out my outfit for my sisters graduation in 3 months! I figure I've dropped at least 2 dress sizes by then, so that is what I'm working with. I'm not sure what my sense of style is anymore, except I am almost 30 with a young daughter, so I'd like to look classy, laidback, and glamourous looks that are tasteful yet sexy and age appropriate Now the problem is, years of being confined to a few stores and certain styles of clothing had turned me off from following anything fashion related. I hope that some of you can point me in the right direction as to what websites, magazine, stores etc I should start with when reestablishing my closet. Hope you guys can help! I'm so ready to start window shopping! -
