  1. Usual day is protein shake in morning (EAS carb advantage 110 calories); string cheese light (50 calories) around 11 - light carb master yogurt at 1:00 (60 calories); another string cheese at 2 or 3:00 (50 calories); another protein shake at 4 or so (110 calories); lien cuisine or equivalent for dinner (270-300 calories); snack at night varies - around 100 calories. I drink vitamin 0 water (0 calories) or crystal light (5-10 calories) throughout the day as well. I'm vegetarian. I have a cheat day about every 7-8 days where i'll go to 1200 calories or something - will have an ice cream or candy bar or something sweet.
  2. Skin, could be worse but saving for plastic surgery now

    One Year With Band Today~

congrats on your bandiversary - mine is coming up right around the corner. You have done great and should be proud! Keep up the great work!
  4. Literally you can find them at every store!
  5. Keep in mind, too they have the least calories of all protein shakes too.... Another reason to love them!!!
  6. Eas is my favorite too!!!!
  7. actually my surgeon put me on 800-900 per day! I stuck/stick to that about 90% of time - but do have cheat days - if i'm going to maintain my whole life the reality is there will be some cheat days LOL
  8. calories - that is the most important thing. I've done very little exercise (which I know i need to improve - these last 10 pounds will be the hardest to lose, i'm sure!)
  9. I was banded on 7/5/11 and since then i have lost 129.6 pounds!!!!

    Drinking

true - my doc said no alcohol for 6 or 8 weeks after surgery (i forget) and i complied. But after that... vodka and crystal light was the thing for me!

    Anybody Around Dayton Still Here?

Wish it was going better for you - i agree go get the fills - they did it slowly for me too but it was worth not rushing it in the end - until you hit restriction it's just like any other diet you've been on. Stay patient and regularly see your doc for those fills and you will get there. I couldn't overeat now if i wanted to!
  13. 1. How long have you been banded? Since 7/5/2011 - just under 11 months 2. How much weight did want to lose? 141 3. How much weight have you lost? 129.4 4. How happy are you that you have been banded: scale of 1-10 (1 being regretful, 10 being elated) 100000++++++ MY ONLY REGRET is not doing it much sooner. Seriously. This is a life changing wonderful thing. I am complimented DAILY. It truly is wonderful.

    Bad Day

you should of course practice not eating and drinking simultaneously while eating - this will get you ready for when you have restriction - it is impossible for me to eat and drink now - there is no room at all for drink - barely any for food - i'm tight. This is just what worked FOR ME. I'm not endorsing going against any rules. It just is what it is - I credit a little water with my fullness and my fullness with my weight loss during bandster hell.

    Bad Day

To be clear it is not possible for me to eat and drink at the same time... Since hitting restriction. That was all before I hit restriction and it was with my center of excellence bariatric surgeon's blessing as there was no pouch and no food to wash through a pouch (i.e, open stomach - no restriction). It was small baby sips of water. This gave me a full feeling on much less food. Worked very well as I lost steadily through bandster hell with little exercise but sticking to the calories.

    Just Checked The Scale

uhm congrats but i wouldn't call walking 2 miles 5x a week very little exercise - just sayin' LOL!

    Bad Day

you're in bandster hell which you've probably already read about. Mine lasted until my 5th fill or so - about 6 months after surgery. Here's a trick i used to get me through until i had real restriction: I sipped a little water in between bites of food. I'm telling you - the combo of the water and food made me feel FULL - on way less calories. It worked for me - may not for everyone. I told my surgeon all about and basically he said whatever you're doing is working so i'm not going to interfere....

Found A Way To Eat Around The Band

even chips won't pass through on me - i'm pretty tight - maybe you need a fill? a little one i mean -- that will stop you on the chips/salsa.
