Patient & Surgeon Application Bugs, Info and Suggestions
molly2800 replied to Ken S.'s topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
When I've tried to edit my weight as I'm losing weight, it is not saving the changes. -
Yes, it's probably hunger. I was banded on 5-27-11 (with two small fills since then) and I've been hungry since the second day post-op!

Rheumatoid Arthritis & Lap Band Surgery
molly2800 replied to hudson52's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I have RA and was banded on 5-27-11. So far I've had no problems. Both the surgeon and my PCP feel the weight loss will only help with the RA symptoms and the progression of the disease itself. Best wishes to you! -
Thanks Metime! Sorry about your troubles--hopefully you'll be able to get back to a good level for you. Best wishes!!!

Hi 14 cc Bandsters, I'm just curious at what point you have achieved good restriction or hit your "sweet spot" with the larger band? I am just trying to prepare myself so I won't expect too much too soon. Thanks for any responses! Molly

I need to order some vitamins what all do you guys take?
molly2800 replied to spoiltmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, My surgeon and nutritionist recommended Flinstones Complete (2x per day). However, I'm taking One a Day Women's Active Metabolism in the a.m. and the Flintstones Complete at bedtime. I also take Potassium prescribed by my cardiologist and a Calcium supplement. -
Thanks so much, Dblex!

Thanks, Tracey! I've had one fill so far (2cc's) and go for my next one this Thursday at which time I will get another 2cc's. My dr. will apparently not fill any higher than 2cc's at a time. I know it will be different for each person, but just trying to get an idea of the variations, especially with the larger band. I've read where some people have 12cc's in their 14cc band and say they are still not feeling any restriction. I'm following the diet I'm supposed to and I'm losing weight....but am pretty hungry most of the time. I'll do what I need to in order to get the weight off and keep it off. I'm trying to keep my expectations realistic, but am curious about everyone else and how much fill they have needed to get a decent restriction. Thanks again for your response and best wishes to you!

My period was also "off-schedule" after surgery. I just assumed that it was due to the stress from the surgery on my body--but really don't know for sure if that was the reason or not. Good luck to you!

How long did you take off from work after your surgery??
molly2800 replied to 3musketeers's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on Friday of Memorial Day weekend and went back to work on Tuesday. I wish I would have been able to take the whole week off but had too much going on at work to do so at that time. I highly recommend taking a week off work to make sure you are rested and well into the healing process before you have to deal with the stressors of work. I, too, have a very stressful job and I think I would have handled things better with a few extra days to get some rest. Best of luck to you! -
