    The day I woke up

You will do it! With the help of the sleeve all those fun things you want to do will be possible! Kayaks... love them.. so much easier than a canoe and horses.. I used to love to ride but that was many years and pounds ago. It will be possible for both of us down the line. Khy

    MIL opens mouth

Yeah my son, to whom I had not explained much, asked the day after I got home "This wasn't supposed to be an instantaneous weight loss surgery... was it?" I could read his mind.. "She ought to get her money back!" Khy

Another worthless topic without pics! Khy

    Angry

You might want to start saving for a self pay. Some doctors take Care Credit or Bliss. If you think the sleeve is right for you, I would not give up on it yet. Khy

    Wearing Jeans

Yes that is what I am wearing Danskin Capris. I love them. They are so stretchy and soft I think I will be able to wear them for awhile. Khy

Is the sleeve making me sweat?

That happened to me although you have been sleeved longer than me. For about the first 2 weeks I had hot flashes that left me soaked. I still get them once in awhile but not like the first 2 weeks. Seems less frequent as time goes by. Khy
  7. I LOVE my sleeve! While I still get hungry, I am so full so quick. A tablespoon or so and I don''t want anymore. I wish I had done it earlier. I wish I had self paid and done it before I got this heavy! I have not had a moment of buyer's remorse. Khy
  8. Excellent Job! Excellent Advice!
  9. Even though I have started Mushies...my doc still has me drinking protein shakes. After pre-op and 2 1/2 weeks of shakes... I am getting tired of them. Has anyone tried mixing shakes... Like 1/2 serving of chocolate mixed with 1/2 serving of banana? Or peanut butter cookie mixed with chocolate? Khy

Callanetics: 10 Years Younger in 10 Hours

LOL nice and round in all the right places. For once a topic worth the pics. Khy
  13. The first week was awful. By the middle of the second week, I was starting to feel better. Not good but better. I am 2 1/2 weeks post-op. I guess my only complaints are I am still struggling to get somethings down (not everything) and I still feel tired. I think this is a legitimate complaint, low calories, low carb, low fat, no sugar.... Khy
  14. It sounds like an advertisement to me too. I mean really... Khy

    Wearing Jeans

Well I am about 2 1/2 weeks and it bothers me to wear a waistband anywhere near my incisions and you are right... esp. the left side. I am still wearing these stretchy capris with a soft easy waist band. I have started wearing a "Sweet Nothings" top as my belly is starting to get kind of jiggly and that bothers me when walking fast or exercising.

    Dizzy feeling

When was your surgery? I was feeling very dizzy post surgery and the thing that made it go away was drinking a sugar free sports drink with electrolytes. You can try it and see if it helps. Khy

    Roll call

I am a little over 2 weeks out. I am still on full liquids until tomorrow. I have my first post-op appt. I have not had any vomiting or nausea. However, I am HUNGRY. Not head hunger but real physical hunger. I am slowly learning it will not kill me. I do tire easily and have been napping at least once a day. I get 60-70g of protein in a day. I am getting about 800 calories a day. I am anxious to move onto mushies. Khy
  23. I am 2 weeks post-op and still on full liquids. Yes I do feel physical hunger. I get that empty gnawing feeling. But then my doc has me low calorie, low carb, low fat, low sugar, and high Protein. Weight loss has been pretty good so I can't complain about that at all. I guess now is the time we are supposed to work on our food issues. I have found that certain things slide right through. Well so far everything I am allowed to have slides right through except the Protein shakes. They do tend to hang around longer and keep me from being hungry. Khy...sucking it up and learning hunger isn't going to kill me.
  24. Well all docs are different. I am 2 weeks post-op. My doc says no more that 800 calories a day. Everything low fat (under 3 or 4 grams per serving) Low carb (under 50 per day). With the list of foods I can have now, I rarely make that 800 calories because if I do then I go over carbs. And with the list of foods most days I have less than 6-7 grams of fat a day. Yes I do get hungry. I think I am one of the few that do feel hunger after surgery. Talk to your nut or doc and see if you need to do something to shock your body out of a stall. I am jealous... 1,200 calories sounds like a king's feast to me LOL. Khy
  25. Some people share, some don't. If you choose to share with your family be sure to mention that you feel like it doesn't need to go farther. I had to specifically tell my mother that she and my father are the only ones to know. She was all ready to ring up the family tree and let everyone know. Khy
