My Surgeon says to check with my Dr. on what to take instead of Pristique, I have tried a few others in the past and had bad side effects. Just wondering if anyone has had a problem switching to something that can be chewed or comes in a liquid form? I'm the most nervous about this at the moment,. My surgery is sceduled for April 11th so I know I will have to taper of sometime soon..not sure what to do I would appreciate any input anyone can throw my way!!

Yes I would like one please...they didnt have the sleeve book available when I got my book , it was only for gastric bypass so I would love to see it!! Back at the beginning of December I received a spiral bound booklet from my doctors office that explains everything I would need to know about getting a Gastric Sleeve/Bypass. From pre-op to post-op and it has helped me sooo much!!! This morning, I happened to have a few minutes to myself and decided to unbound the spiral and scan the whole booklet. If anyone would like to have a copy of it, please let me know. I emailed it from my work to my yahoo account with no problems on the size. Let me know if your interested - Tiffany

I wondered and worried about the same thing because it clearly says do not crush on the label...I do not want to go off and start that process again..have you heard anything so far ?

I am keepin this on the DL with my own Mom for the very same reason they dont understand and its not fair to you..You need to be happy with your decision and not worry what the others say!!! no matter what they will find fault with what ever you do, If yo dont loose it she will say you are overwieght when you do get it she will probably say you took the easy way out.....block it all out...trust me..you will be stronger and better for it..it is a health issue and she is not a doctor...

Hello All I am just starting this journey and I am very excited! My insurance requires that I stick to a six months supervised diet by my PCP. Does anyone know exactly what they are looking for, or want me to accomplish in this time?

Ya that sounds like my kind of luck too, I hope to loose a little before surgery. I just dont want to mess anything up to have it delayed..thanks for your post! Good luck to you also, let me know how it goes!!

Thanks, Ive started the supervised diet, Im just not sure what ths insurance company is looking for as far as wieght loss? Do they want to see a big loss, or will that hurt me in the end? Im not even sure I could loose a big amount, that is why I am looking into the sleeve surgery to begin with..lol
