I feel your pain. It's been a week now since I've been banded. I want a Wolftown Pizza (local joint) so bad, it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. We were shopping yesterday at Sam's Club and I about lost it between the loss of my favorite 1/4 Hot Dog & Soda Combo and the smell of the chicken. I just left and stayed in the truck. The emotions are very similar to someone close that has died. Food was my friend, and I miss it so. I made the mistake of watching the movie "Oliver" a few weeks back. Remember the scene when Oliver goes back up to the Master and ask, "please Sir, can I have some more?" Then all the kids break out singing and dancing about food, glorious food. That's the song that keeps popping up in my head. I thought I was better prepared mentally for this challenge, but it is hard. Just venting at his point. Thanks.

Almost Two Weeks post-surgery

My Dietitian sent me over to the GNC that she has been using for 15 years. Family-owned stores and the owners are very aware of our needs. They hooked me up with "GNC Total Lean" for pre-surgery weight loss, and "Ampufy" Smoothie (Vanilla Cream) for post-surgery. Due to cost, I have been too cheap to switch over until I'm done with the "GNC Total Lean." I also purchased a "Ninja" from my local Sam's Club to help make the shakes/smoothies. For base I use either skim milk or Greek yogurt. Add 2 scoops of mix, then add fresh fruit of my choice. Usually, it is what's on the day-old rack at the local food store. I almost always throw in a banana as well. After the morning batch, I will throw in some ice cubes to help keep chilled. Also got a couple of free samples of "Unjury" and that blends real well with hot coffee, almost like a latte. At this point, I still blending everything, including the soups, so I always add the mix as I'm blending. It is a little extra work with the fresh fruit, but worth the time. BTW, is is just me, or do food prices seem to be going through the roof these days. Good luck. -

Ditto Rachel412 above. Also is the jello and yogurt low-fat or sugar free? My dietitian has me eating low-fat Greek Yogurt due to higher protein content. I have both with fruit and plain. I just took my own fruit and blended. Mix when I want to add flavor to the yogurt. You are not alone.
