So happy for you Im counting down until my date..... I have a stack of jeans that were my favorite and I refuse to given away,,so Im waiting to just pull them on and look sexy again!!

4 people at my job that have Athem BcBS says it took about 2 months from start to finish, Im going into 3 weeks waiting . I getting fustrated ,but keep telling myself to be clam and WAIT!!!

Im with you, Im always logging on any chance I get, no one at work know that Im planning on the lapband so the same people with all the good food and sweets ALWAYS save a dish for me,wow.... I cant tell them no thank you, I trying to learn discipline before surgey, because I know I will be paying the big price by throwing up! UGH

I work at very large hospital and work as a relief nurse so I float from unit to unit, Problem! everyone knows I love to eat and love sweets ,oh let me add the hospital have a Starbucks on site in the lobby,so daily Latte on my menu..... How do I learn to say NO!!!, I wouldnt be needing the lapband if I had Discipline...I need help before I head to surgery in the next couple of months.. any suggestions

Welcome Jennifer, I still waiting for my surgery date in the mean time Im dieting and eating I dont know if Im going or coming LOL . Wish you all the luck please start posting pictures pre-and post op so we can follow your journey. I plan too.

Think he is feeling insecure that youre losing weight and have the fear that you might want someone else just reassure him and me be EXTRA accountable until he start feeling secure about your marriage.

While waiting for approval Im eating everything in sight,because in the back of my mind I know when Im banded I will be limited...isnt that terrible I have no self control!

My Doctor told me that it is 3 weeks after surgery that you go for your first fill? When are you due to follow up? Im still waiting on surgey date. -

Had my EDG yesterday for pre-qualifation, was told I had hiatal hernia and she would repair it during the lap-band surgery ,question I'm asking will this extend my hospital stay and recover. I didnt get to ask since I was awakening from sedation.

I would keep reassuring him on a daily basis and involve him with your journey , the more informed the more less he will feel left out. Keep him feeling secure is the key! My husband is having a lot of fear over me getting this surgery. He is worried that I am going to get skinny and leave him. We both know of couples where this happened. I wasn't very close to any of these couples so I don't know what their marriage was like. But, I do know what my marriage is like. I'm trying to calm his fears. But, it is frustrating. I would prefer to have his support at calming my fears instead of the other way around. Has anyone else had to deal with this? -
