Unfortunatly I think she is right there is not much you can do with our surgery but there is one brand I think it is playtex that has half sizes.

if you dont want all the sweet you could also mix into your greek yogurt some of the ranch mix powder or the spincah dip or some taco seasoning. Also for puree/mushie food you can take any meat and use a stick blender to puree it up I currenly am eating pureed ground turkey, pureed chicken breast strips(the frozen ones) re freid bans, pureed imitation crab meat, pureed hormel turkey chili with out beans, pureed canned roast beef, you can also puree benas soups but they tend tohave fewer protien grams and more carbs. also when you are pureeing the meat if itis to dry you can mix in gravy or stock to make it go doen easier. often for lunch or dinner I will mix some turkey or chicken with taco seasoning layer that with taco sauce fat free cheese and refried beans, or I will have the beef with some greek yogurt mixed with horse radish, tapatillo, and wochesterchire sauce so its kinda like eating a steak with creamy horse radish sauce. Or I will take some chicken mmix the greek yogurt with the ranch powder and some buffalo sauce and imagine it is buffalo wild wings Good luck with your mushies your best bet would be to just walk the isles of the grocery store and experiment.

Five Months Tomorrow and Worried
laylasmojo replied to Zeebie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have three questions for you... Have you have your thyroid checked because if it is slow it will make it really hard to loose no matter what you do? Have you been checked for PCOS once again can make it hard to loose weight? and have you brought your journal to your NUT to see if there are any changes that you could make? if you have done all of these things then I guess my only suggestions would be to work harder on not drinking when you are eating make sure you have no beverages near you when you eat. Also make sure you are getting in atleast 64 oz of Water in a day inbetween meals. Also since it is no longer swimming season you should find another way to do excercises there are deffinatly options out there, if you are not abel to stand for a long time then do chair excercises with resistance bands and small dumbells, for example you could hold the dumbells with your arms straight out and lift at your sholders or hold the dumbells with your hands at sholder level and push up, with the resistance band you could sit with your legs up hook the band on your toes hold the ends with your hand and either pull with your arms or do calf extensions by holding the band tight and pushing with your toes. I am sure there are many others if you just look them up online. I am confident that you can make it to goal you may just have to put some work into it. Good Luck!! -

Sorry that you had more pain then you had expected, But I do promise you that it gets better each and every day ! If the loritab is bothering your stomach and your doc wont give you anti nausia meds you could try childrens tylenol it may not take as much of the pain away but it should not bother your new tummy. Congrats on loosing the weights and having your surgery and good luck with your recovery -

Do you think this is okay???
laylasmojo replied to Dawn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just looked up the active ingredient and it seems that it is basically liquid tumms so I would say there should be no problem, but if you are really unsure you should call you dr and ask or maybe a 24 hour nurse line. -

Awsome Job! I am sure your knees are thanking you for putting less pressure on them. I know mine are -
I am 3 1/2 weeks out and still on purees and totaly feel restriction, Some times depending on the food it can take me up to an hour to finish 1/2 cup becuase I fill up so fast. When I was still on liquids I did not feel "restricted" because it just goes right through the tummy but I was never really hungry either.

Thanksgiving for me will be spent at work cooking over a hundred turkeys for the wonderfull tourists of Las Vegas. I have no family out here so this really does not bother me I have grown accustom to holidays with my work fmaily I am still on puree food at that point so I will most deffinatly be having some pureed turkey a bite or two of cranberry sauce and I may even work a bite of pumpkin pie into my cal and carb intake for the day! Well I am at work now so I guess I should get back to that, and then off to the gym. Hope every one enjoys there turkey day!!

laylasmojo replied to 6kiddos's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
any kind of soup is okay as long as there are no chunks in them. my list of full liquids included v8, tomato juice, skim milk, sugar free fudgesicle, and of course protien shakes basically any liquid that was not clear -
Hair Loss after sleeve surgery
laylasmojo replied to janie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel you on this subject I also have thinning hair from my thiroid not being right I dont know hwat I will do if I loose more in a few months, might just have to go and get a wig. but not every one looses their hair I think it is something like 1/3 of the people do. There are a couple of things that you could do to try and prevent the loss, you could take biotin, you could buy special shampoos like nioxin or mane and tail, also some people say as long as you get in all your protein you will be fine. I am sure there are other remidies out there that other will chine in with but good luck. -
Yippy!! your almost there I am sure you will do just wonderfull
-
Awsome Job Congrats!!!!!!!!!
-
you could either give her a copy of your guidelines or bring her to your next apt so she can get all of her qiestions answered. as for the tuna you should be able to have that at the puree or mushy step.

Pre op diet and freezing. Related?
laylasmojo replied to myrori's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am totaly with you on this one. The more weight I loose the harder it is for me to stay warm. Allthought I do have thyroid issues I blame it on having less insulation on me. start bundling up and drinking some hot tea cuz if your anything like me it is only going to get colder. Good luck hope you stay warm -
Good luck to you. Keep us updated on your progress.

two weeks out and results :O(
laylasmojo replied to guest1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
you most deffinatly should not be discouraged with a pound a day that is just awsome. and the first thing you need to do is learn how not to compair courself with others on this board, because we are all very different, we start at different weights and have very different matabolisims and like said about the bigger you are the faster you loose in the begining. I was 212 the day of surgery and only lost 10 pounds the first 2 weeks. Cheer up your doing great!
