Quints. I am not at nina's I decided I wanted a licensed nurse on duty at the recovery house, so I went through the clinic.

Kemo It has been about what I thought, The facilities, are small bur clean and adequate. I have noticed that they will allow u to not take pain meds if u choose, My advice is to stay on top of the Meds. I ask for mine on schedule and have been ok. The day after surgery was hard but today I have been feeling great. Ready to head home tomorrow. All in all. I am very pleased about my decision. The care has been good, the staff helpful, the comradire among the other patients encouraging. If someone is expecting an American hostpital, and facilities, they will be disappointed maybe scared, lol but that is more because of cultural expectations that care or ability. Or even equipment. I gave not regretted tge surgery or my choice of location. But I have a very adventurous spirit, and a thunk outside the box approach. Oh and my barium swallow was good no leaks!!! I get my drain out in the morning and then head home. Woot!

If u won't broth I would talk with them before have about vegetarian. I am certain try will accommodate u. But honest I have had a drop of broth. Havent wanted it. I am just doing water and 50/50 water juice and popcicles. I might have some broth night maybe. They actually said we could have yogurt today. But again I have just focused on liquids

I sitting in az waitin on my connecting flight. Wishing one of the food places had a soup. No luck. Oh well, vitamin water it is. -
So, I am taking my mom and dad out for mothers day. I just sat down figurin I would order a clear soup and just eat the broth. Well, they do not have a single soup!!! Lol. It fugures, I guess this will be the ultimate test of my resolve. Lol
-
Well the only problem was I was sitting at the table when I discovered no soup. Lol. It actually wasn't bad I had water and an enjoyable time with my mom and dad. Didn't even have a hard time ignoring the fresh rills that sat on the table for 10 mins while I sat there waiting on them to arrive. Tuesday morning I will be heading across the boarder and getting my sleeve.

Thx again guys. I'm fairing all right. I have dropped the cottage cheese as of today and it is liquid and yogurt until sat night then clears only for Sunday Monday and surgery day on tues. Mid afternoon here and I am focusing ion drinking water. I have been surprise how it really has been fairly easy. Maybe because I had built it up to ne this huge thing in my head. Ironically all my friends have been calling me everyday to go to lunch, lol. But I was thinking about what I normally eat and already am like wow, that was so much more than I needed. -

Day three of preop liquid begins... So far it really hasn't been bad at all. Of course it has only been two days lol. My energy has been ok, though I do notice I am sore this morning. Had a lot of lifting granite slabs yesterday and my muscles are much more sore this morning. Could be age though. Lol. -

Thanks guys, the encouragement means soo much. I don't mind the protien shakes. I actually like several. I know which ones I like from previous serious workout periods. Does anyone know if cottage cheese is ok during this week? -
No, little skinny person I did not know I was overweight!
pasquini posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello, I have lurked around here for a while, taking sips of information like so many of you with you protein shakes. I feel I know some of you already. So I thought to myself. "hey, introduce yourself to these lovely folks, and join in on the ride." I am like many of you am a life long overweight fella, done the diets, listened to the little people expond the virtues of eating less, moving more, all the while thinking, "yeah, ok toothpick boy with the memory foam office chair molded to your half a cheek butt, come spend one day fabricating and installing granite countertops with me and then talk to me about moving more while I carry you back to the truck after the work day" I mean really, why is it that skinny people never know how little they are? always talking about needing to lose 5 more pounds? Don't they get how small they are? When's the last time you heard one of our metabolicly hyper-efficient-selves say something that indicates we do not know our size? heck i do every time some skinny person gives me advice or bemoans the need to lose another few lbs, I hold my gut and say, yeah, I so get that, If I could just gain 5 more lbs I'd be so happy, right where I need to be sheesh look in a mirror people. lol, oh sorry I digress Anyway, so I have been researching surgery for 4 yrs, lapband was my first choice, then about a year ago I started looking at the sleeve and decided that was the way I wanted to go. I have been looking forward to the day when I could begin this journey, your stories have helped me stay focused on the goal (i'm self-pay) well i just filed my taxes and with the return will finally have enough (if i go with the dr. that advertises here for 4400.00) to have the surgery. To say I am excited is like saying the moon is kinda big. I am both excited and nervous all at once, at 39 I thought that feeling was gone with, prom, my wedding night and size less than 50 pants. So, im 39, 5'8" was 310 at my heavyest 18 months ago, I have lost 40lbs since my heaviest, but have been stuck here for 10 months. I am looking forward to this journey, toward, health, comfortable airplane rides, amusment parks, sitting on the floor without a wall to lean on, a sexy self, well ok really who knows, i have never been little and i could get then and then be ugly, i mean hey, there are alot of skinny people that are not so umm, well, not ugly. Anyway, Thought i'd say hi and introduce myself. Pasquini
