Hello there, I'm 68 and was banded on the 28th of Feb.2011 I have lost a total of 48 lbs. and I don't feel like my age has been an issue at all. I had no pain what so ever with the surgery other than gas pain and that left after about a week. I already have so much more energy and feel so much better than I have in years. I have had one fill and have another appt. for a check up on the 25th of May. Don't worry about your age just listen to your surgeon and you should do great. I had surgery by Dr.Ferrara on 2/28/2011. He is awesome ! Such a sweetheart. I have lost a total of 40lbs. I am very happy with him and office staff. GOOD LUCK !
