I am a 68 year old female. Mother of five,grandmother of 14. I was banded by Dr.Ferrara in Fort Worth,TX on Feb.28th.2011.  I have lost a total of 48 lbs and still want to lose another 69. The surgery was pretty pain free other than some gas pain for about the first week. Dr.Ferrara and his staff are wonderful. I had one fill on the 21st of March and have an appt. for another check up on the 25th of May. I have to travel to Fort Worth for my appts. because I live in New Mexico . It's quite a ways to travel but well worth it for my new life. I have more energy and feel better than I have in many years. I have high blood pressure and Arthritus, Hopefully as the weight comes off I will be able to get off some of the medications I have taken for quite some time as well.
