Oh good! Me and you are going to have it around the same time! Where do you live? I also had to have testing. They wanted my results from my sleep study and my colonoscopy and I have to get a chest xray, an upper gi and a ekg. I had the sleep study and I have apnea so that helps qualify me. I also can't wait till my surgery!!!! Randi

Thanks everyone!! I just wonder how they expect you to journal and keep your calories to 1400 a day for 6 months. If I could do that I wouldn't need the surgery and would be skinny already! LOL!

That is exactly what I did!!! LOL I just wish it was faster but I quess it is a process. Did you lose any weight while you were being supervised?

Hi, I am new to this as of this month. Because of my insurance I have to go for 6 months to supervised weight loss and nutrition meetings. Which means if everything goes well I can have surgery in Oct. I have a BMI of 38 but have sleep apnea and high cholesterol. I am 55 years old and live in Pittsburgh, Pa. Anyone else on here from around here? Will be checking all the information on here so I know what I am getting into. Randi

Hi ashley! I wish I was that close!! Good for you, losing 20 lbs. already! Your well on your way. I am pretty excited about the whole thing. Did you have to do the supervised diet for 6 months? Did you have to keep a food diary. I am finding that diary to be a pain!! We will stay in touch for sure!! Randi

Hi, I can see from your signature that you have had success so far!! I am also going to Magee with Dr. McCloskey. I am just starting out. I went to my first meeting for the lifesyle supervised diet about 2 weeks ago and met with Dr. McCloskey today. I thought she was very nice. I have some questions so I hope that you see this.
