noooo don't use much splenda.... remember too that unless you're using natural PB, there's already sugar in the PB so you really don't need much at all. I'd cut the recipe in half I'd say.

I've made them in the past when I was doing Atkins. Use crunchy pb, they are way better than smooth. Super yummy!

1 month now and feeling great. Down 26 lbs and 17" as of now Much easier to get my water in now too which makes it so much better as I love water. Going to the gym for the first time since surgery today!! -
Check out my results! Even with a 1 week fail of too much sodium from camping, I still did fantastic! http://myaceinhand.blogspot.com/2011/05/1-month-results.html :D :D

Did you tell your job about WLS ???? HELP
ToDream replied to prairiedawn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my boss that I was having surgery. She asked if it was necessary and that was it. It's none of their business -
I was thinking specifically the weight loss phase. Thanks for your replies everyone!

I don't consider it a lecture, I'm interested in the differences (other than the mental aspect). Does the body not view the restriction in calories the same way it would an anorexic?
-
Thanks everyone. I'm hoping that water will reverse that and quickly. I am having difficulty with reconciling with myself that I'm not supposed to be on a "diet" anymore and I think that its that mentality that has me beating myself up about it. I still have a long way to go apparently to learning how to eat mindfully while still allowing small indulgences so I don't feel like I'm on a diet and deprived anymore.
-
Apparently I suck. I'm beating myself up and I know that I made poor choices over the long weekend but I figured it would be ok since my calories are still so low. I had some potato chips and 3 clamato and vodka over the long weekend of camping. I was just celebrating getting into the 100's and now I'm back up to 201. I know didn't drink nearly enough Water and I know that this is temporary weight gain but it still blows. I know its not real fat weight gain because I'm still only eating 500-600 calories a day but it sucks to see the scale give you a great big middle finger when you stray at all. Back to high Protein, low carb which I know works. I will change my ticker back to 201 when I get home to keep myself accountable. I'm bummed at this tiny setback, self-inflicted or not.

You copy and paste the html bb code into your signature. I had to try a few before I found the one that actually worked
-
My sleevie does this too. Noisy tummy, noisy burps!
-
What it definitely did was show me how addicted to carbs I am. There's cookies in our lunchroom at work today and its taking a feat of superhuman strength to not grab one. I'm eating my cottage cheese under duress
-
Yup, I experienced exactly the same thing when I moved to mushies, then again when I moved to soft solids and then full solids. It's like its too big for your swollen sleevie and it hurts. Feels just like stuck food. I found a **little** sip of water sometimes helped push it down as well as burping. I would have to belch huge just to get it to move. It sucked. I still have it if I have taken a bit too big of a bite or not chewed it to mush. It's like feeding a baby
-
Congratulations! It's exciting and scary all at once isn't it!?
-
I hit ONEderland on Saturday before we left for camping! I might even be lower than that now but as I only weigh in the mornings, I'll know that one tomorrow as we just got home. Wahoo

I told my boss I was going to be out for surgery. She asked if it was necessary and I replied yes. That's it, that's all she knows. It's none of their business.

2nd Day back to Work
ToDream replied to MaeConnie68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3 weeks post op and still battling fatigue. I hear that the energy returns after around a month so I'm hoping to see that. Right now I come home just exhausted from work. -
The surgical gas pain was just awful. The Gas-X strips did nothing for me. I just had to walk and move and put a heating pad on as often as possible.
-
I had no nausea but I did have pain from the drain site as well as the horrible gas pains. It made it really hard to take a breath and I kept trying because I didn't want to end up with pnemonia! I have asthma so my likelihood is worse off if I did get it do I really concentrated on windmilling my arms, walking, using a heating pad, and getting hubby to pound on my back to get rid of the gas as soon as possible. The drain site pain lasted about a week I'd say.

How much weight did you lose on the clear liquid pre-op diet?
ToDream replied to sleevesmagoohowdoyoudo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was only 3 days of clears pre op. I lost 7 lbs. -
Take it easy pasquini. You just had major surgery. Make sure you don't lift anything over 10 (ish) pounds for at least a month post op or you risk damage inside. I'm glad you're feeling so good!
-
I had the grape frost. Not excellent but I could stomach it post op.

Pork rinds... Good or bad snack????
ToDream replied to Sunny123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can make them into a sweet snack as well by sprinkling some cinnamon and splenda mixed together over them like you would popcorn seasoning. Yum!
