    You just put in to writing exactly what I was thinking!! I've been struggling since about the first of December and decided this afternoon that tomorrow I WILL get back on track! I might even get my bike out and go for a ride if it's not too cold. I will definitely be upping my exercise and watching my portions much closer.

  4. I work in an office that receives many gifts of food during the holiday season. I am finding it very hard not to try a "taste" of these goodies. It's mostly cookies and sweet stuff that seems to go down real easy for me. So, I try it and then feel guilty for having done so. I'm so mad at myself because I know I'm doing the wrong thing. Is anyone else having this type of problem? I've only been banded 3 months and did great at Thanksgiving with a nice loss that week. But now, I'm really struggling...

    Thanks Dawn! I just feel slightly foolish because I did so darn good at Thanksgiving and now I'm like some crazy woman who can't put the cookie down. But you are right, tomorrow is a new day!!

    These last couple of days have not been good. I can't seem to stop eating. I've been baking holiday cookies and tasting those, and making party mix and tasting that, and the fact that I can't seem to control this "tasting" has really gotten me down.....

    Awww, Pugs, sorry about your loss. May the memories comfort you during this sad time. It's so hard to have to make that decision. I've been there and feel your pain. On the plus side, good for you for not turning to food to comfort you!

    Holy Cow I had a crappy week! Fought pneumonia and a sinus infection all week long. Of course that meant I didn't feel like exercising or eating right. I did have soup, but it was chicken noodle, so high sodium and high carbs. AND, ice cream! OMG, what the heck is wrong with me?!? LOL, I know it was wrong, but it really made me feel better. I'm scared to get on the scale. Tomorrow's a new day though, and I've already packed my healthy lunch, so back on track for me. Hope everyone has a great week!

    I haven't found any food yet that I can't eat. I have had "stuck" episodes, but those were from eating too fast or not chewing enough. I've been real careful since my second fill though and haven't had a problem again, yet. I haven't been feeling well since Friday so haven't been eating much. And that's ok, but I also haven't been getting my fluids in either and that's not ok. I'm on antibiotics now (for pneumonia), so I'm hoping to be on the mend soon and get back with the program.

    It's not the powder protein, but I love the Isopure zero carb bottled drinks. My favorite is blue raspberry. The grape is good also. I'm hoping for GNC gift cards for birthday and Christmas gifts this year so I can stock up!
  14. Lost weight this week and that makes me so happy!! I'm pretty sure I'll be able to hit my first goal ahead of time!!

    I'm happy to report I actually lost 4 pounds this week! Woohoo! Got my second fill Wednesday so that helped with Thanksgiving dinner.

    Failed My Sleep Study!!!!

    I took a couple/few antihistamines before I went. That way I was able to fall asleep quicker. Even then I still was only able to get about 4 hours recorded sleep time. Sometimes if the problems show up soon after you fall asleep they will fit you for a mask the same night and you don't have to go back. That happened with my hubby. Good luck to you!
  18. Thanksgiving coming up. I'm actually happy that I am getting a fill the day before. That will be such a help in keeping the eating under control. I am so thankful this year for my band! I'm not losing as quick as I would like, but it has been and continues to be such a helpful tool. Now if I could just get my butt in gear and exercise more!!

    Exactly! I am terrible at doing new things by myself. It's really really hard for me, even when I take a xanax for two. LOL! I really wish I could get over that fear.

    Hello fellow September bandsters. I haven't posted much but follow this thread religiously. I love the support and encouragement. I, too, am struggling with the exercise portion of my new lifestyle. Since it started getting colder I haven't been on my bike at all. I need to get walking but for some reason can't get the motivation. Argh.... I have had one fill and have my second one on the day before Thanksgiving. Yikes, what was I thinking when I ok'd that appt? Oh well, I guess it's not too big of a deal since it will just be my hubby and me this year. I'll make him a turkey and I'll have mashed taters if I can tolerate them. I was wondering if any of you use a fitbit. I've seen lots of good reviews for them and was thinking of asking Santa for one for Christmas...

    I agree. I think you may be getting too many carbs. Try tracking your food intake for a week or so. Myfitnesspal is a great way to track. It will help you see your daily numbers as far as carbs, prottein, fiber, etc...
