Almost 9 months since banded.. only have lost about 48lbs...I have had 4 fills. I'm about 7cc in a 14.5 cc band. I'm still feeling hungry, especially in the evenings. I exercise 5-6 times a week. Any ideas? Get a little discoraged when I see others banded around the time as myself are much further along in their weight loss. Guess i thought it would be much quicker. Some weeks a lose nothing others 1-2 lbs. Currently in a slump. I have only lost 5lbs in the last 10 weeks. HELP!

Hi I am new at this, but started to feel a little discouraged. I was banded on 7-1-2011 and since that time have only lost 15 lbs. I had my 1st fill on 8/12 for 5.2cc in 14cc band. It didn't seem to make any difference so I called surgeon and he added another 1.5cc on 8/26 for a total on 6.7cc in 14cc band. Here is the problem, i can almost eat regular size portions without any problems. I have never gotten nauseated or vomited. If I didn't know any better I would say that I didn't even have a band. i'm usually not hunger in the am but make up for it in the evenings. i feel very little restriction. If anyone one has experienced this or have any suggestions, please help! HW: 355 SW:341 CW:327 GW:199

I'M WAITING ON INSURANCE APPROVAL. Everything seems to be happening quickly. It was just under a month since Ive gone to seminar. My bmi is over 50 w/hypertension and ive had weight counseling for the past year, but to no avail. ive meet with surgeon, pyschologists, and had upper gi. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. My surgeon does not require liquid diet prior to surgery, instead wants me to do atkins diet(no carbs) 1 week before surgery. He only suggest 1 week liquid diet post surgery too. Anybody out there tried this before? help?
