Hey, awhile back there was a post from a hubby worried about his wife. She had surgery at Darnall and had complications. Not sure how things turned out or what exactly happened though? I tried to post the link so you could read the posts, but not sure how to do it. So if you want to read it the member's name is worried husband and you can check out his posts. I know how frustrating it is dealing with the process, good luck to you & I hope the process goes smoothly for you. -
I thought my face would clear up after surgery, but it has actually been worse. And I have a few spots on my back too which I have never had a problem with. Has anyone else experienced this and what helped? Thanks!

Went to Sea World on Sat. came home Sun 3lbs smaller! This is motivation to start exercising!

I was sleeved on 9/8/10 and did great the 1st 2wks! But now I think I've hit the dreaded 3wk stall!! I've been up 1lb. down 1lb. for the past 6 days :001_smile: Is anyone else going through this? I'm trying to be patient but I'm about ready to chunk my scale out the window!

Hey Holly, I agree with the others. I just had surgery 9/8/10 and although I'm not taking anymore pain meds, I am still tired and weak. In fact my husband has been taking care of the boys and cooking & cleaning. (He took 2wks off to help out) I am able to do some cooking & cleaning, but mostly all him. Is there is someone else that could be in charge of the party & you just help out? Maybe that would be an option? -

I am 3 days post op and am not getting in my liquids or protein. My Dr. has ok'd me to have full liquids. I need to concentrate on getting in my liquids & protein. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I went to GNC today & bought a soy protein powder that tastes chalky, and awful! So just wondering what has been the best for all of you? Thinking about getting an isopure powder or unjury? -
Hi Wedding planner, Glad you are home and doing well too. And your already down 20lbs! You must have done awesome on your preop diet. Way to go! I was in alot of pain on Wed. mostly from gas, and the morphine actually made me nauseous. Was able to come home Thurs. and have been doing pretty good. Take Care!

Finally it's here! At 6am I am going to the hospital to get my sleeve. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I'm sure many of you know the feeling...Please keep me in your thoughts & prayers tomorrow. Thank you so much everyone for the support & encourgement! And make some room on the loser's bench! LOL Also I know there are others getting sleeved tomorrow & in the wks to come, Good luck to all of you & God Bless!

Thanks to everyone for the warm, encouraging comments! I was able to come home yesterday and am doing pretty good. Right now the hardest thing to do is drink my protein shakes, It tastes fine but the issue is the amount I should be drinking! I am going to stick with it & do my best. Wedding Planner, how r u doing? Hope all is well with you!

I'm hoping by this time next year I will be able to wear a cute sundress. Actually any type of dress/skirt and not have sweat run down my legs as they rub together!

I'm getting my sleeve Sept. 8th, so thanks for the words of wisdom! My favorites that made me LOL were #2 & #8! I was also motivated by #11! Hopefully your energy level goes up & back pain goes away. As far as the acid reflux...did u get a Rx for anything? Good Luck & Take Care. -

Hey, sorry I haven't gotten back to u before now. I am scheduled to be sleeved on Sept 8th! So we are right there close together. I'm self-pay & going to a surgeon in the Dallas area. I started my 2wk pre-op diet today. I just keep telling myself after this step then it's surgery! I'm very excited & nervous. How's it going for u? Take Care!
