  1. But my clothes are fitting very loose, and I've lost one dress size...so far so good. I just wonder what my surgeon will say when I go for my first fill on the 3rd. I feel guilty for getting off the liquids so soon...but couldn't help it.

  2. Tuesday will be 2 weeks since my surgery on the 26th and I've already had to crack the liquid diet. I was starving and my blood sugar has been really low. So I've been eating heathy (for the most part) my first meal was thai yesterday...but today I had a small baked potatoe and 3 oz of salmon. No problems digesting thank goodness! However, I haven't lost any weight in the past few days

  3. I had my surgery April 18th. I didn't have any problems and lost about 15 pounds. I feel great! I have noticed when I am around food and sweets at work wanting some of it is mostly just out of habit and in my mind so I try to focus on how bad the fat and sugar is for my health and can usually just walk away. I hope you are doing well.

Best gas pain relief remedies post surgery???

Just had my surgery on Tuesday the 26th...I am miserable with gas! It's in my chest right now. I have been eating gas x like candy...and walking! I'm going to try the heating pad tonight...I think if I could let out one big burp I would be in Heaven. My dr said that most of the gas should leave after your first bowel movement...not true @ all...had it--still have the gas! Wish me luck! Thanks for all of the advice.

    Liquid Stage Recipes

Hey Luvbug, I have my surgery tomorrow and something that I have fallen in love with is...I use less than tsp of olive oil, then I add tsp of roasted garlic, (from jar) then I cut up 1/2 onion; and a tsp of hotsauce; I let them saute until the onion is a little soft; then I add a can of chicken broth until it comes to a boil. I strain before pouring into my soup cup...When I tell you it' smells wonderful, and tates fantastic; and it's really fulfilling!
  6. Thank you for the info on unjury and silk almond, that sounds good. I did find an classic Butter pecan Glucerna shake at Walmart but it is hard to find although it is worth a trip to another town because it is the best tasting one I have found.

  7. I sat and enjoyed the festivities with my sugar free pudding and Jello! But, I've not been completely faithful...I've had boilded eggs each evening---because I'm starving!!!

  8. Wow, I'm on day 4 of the liquid diet, I have been tried and tested on so many levels. Party at work today w/my favorite thing in the world...Nachos and Taco Salad...

  9. Hi, I am also son the pre-op liquid diet, I hate to say it but there really aren't any protein shakes that taste good. I will be having my surgery Monday and just keep taking one day at a time and focusing on the day I can eat a little and stop drinking those shakes. Good luck to you.

    I'm Leaking : (

That is terrible...I am very interested to find out what happens with your situation. Please stay in touch...Can you reach out to your former insurance company to find out if they may have any recommendations? Or if they can't help maybe you can reach out to your dr's office in Ohio to see if they may have some recomendations for you. I'm really sorry for the loss of your mother! Good Luck to you and stay strong!!! And try to make yourself get back into a work out routine and believe me you I so understand the under stress eating- try to fool your brain back to eating the right stuff!
  11. Hello Lapband world, I wish I had known about this site months ago--I have read some really good information here. I am about to start my pre-op liquid diet, and I would like to know if anyone has found a truly tasty protein shake? I've researched on the internet and found something called Unjury I've ordered a couple packs of it but have not been able to bring myself to taste them. I am very anxious about the whole process, and scared, and nervous, but very excited! My other big question is will I have the extra skin hanging around like some of my friends who've had gastric bypass surgery? Or because lapband patients are losing weight at a slower pace, is this not a big problem? Looking forward to reading some good advice. Thanks to all who respond.
